Draft Thread Round 1

He didn’t give up a sack last year. This guy has been on their radar all along. He will play guard and very good. I bet they tried to trade down and didn’t get a partner, saw the run on OLine and decided to take the best available. They missed out last year as the run happened early. I don’t see any panic here.
This was the definition of a panic pick. They were so flummoxed by the Eagles they barely made the pick in time after scrambling to try and trade down. We have clowns drafting for us. Good times.

Jones must have been pissed at the Rooneys for that third rounder they had to give up for Pickens considering they traded with a hated division rival that gives their rival a nice offensive weapon to use against them at least twice a year.
That’s what caught the Steelers off guard, the Cowboys trading with the Eagles for a receiver who may burn them for years. They had to know the Eagles are on the phone trading Brown.

I really dgaf aabout Lemon, the missed move was not going for Freeling
That required a willing trade partner to get in front of Carolina. Given Detroit went OT, I doubt they would have traded with the Steelers and risked Steelers taking Miller, New York Jets unlikely to risk not getting the best tight end in the draft. That leaves Minnesota - would they have been willing to trade down and what would it have cost for the Steelers to trade up?

I'm more pissed we got outmaneuvered for Cooper by the jets ffs.

Yeap, I was thinking of the vikings, who got a DT that would have been there at 21 too (probably)

It’s time to consider our gm is in way over his head… he’s never worked anywhere but here and it’s not like we are setting the world on fire on the management side… pretty mediocre for the most part. His picks have been mediocre this bs with a qb older than dirt waiting around till camp to decide if he’s playing or not is getting really old! Why Can’t we get a good young coach with some good young players and line up and hit those ******** in the face mask!?!? Why can’t we do that?
Max is the definition of line up and hit them in the facemask.

Iheanacor against #2 pick David Bailey:

Beat on outside rush twice, not great run blocking, but overall pretty impressive showing against one of the most NFL-ready DE/OLB in the draft.
