Iran

A new round of peace talks will take place tomorrow in Islamabad with the cease fire ending on Tuesday.
Will Iran play nice, or do the lights go out?

They're just stalling while radical militias import into the country to help drop the hammer on the dissenters and to reinforce in case of invasion.

Which is the same thing we're doing as we prepare to smash them.

And China's oil supplies dwindle.

Iran will lie to the US delegate to get us to stand down, then get to a position that they think will help them be ready to strike back. hopefully we topple their government soon.

Everyone is hoping for this outcome, except those cheering for failure because they hate one particular individual.

😂 So the opening of the Strait that wasn’t closed wasn’t an objective. Neither was criticizing the Pope’s theology but here we are. You voted for this circus.

The Strait of Hormuz was never an objective. What about this don't you understand? It's become a byproduct issue.

Since you didn't do your homework, and we always have to do the homework for you, the goal had something to do with nuclear weapons...

Go back, try again.

I think the issue is the straight is a huge strategic point. We should have planned for Iran to seize / block it. It should have been one of the things we gained control of in our early attacks. We are supposedly winning the war, but Iran is still holding about 20% of the world's oil hostage. Between us and Israel we ran over 20k sorties and dropped over 5 billion dollars of bombs. You would think we would be further ahead by now. Just seems like this whole attack was not well planned out.

Can someone explain to me how Iran with a defeated and decimated army, navy, and Air Force can control a large body of internationalwater?

I’m not being sarcastic or cheeky about that question..

It just seems to me that somebody, anybody from Iran can get on front of a microphone and declarethe straight is blocked, and the whole world says the Straight is blocked?!?

That’s crazy! Right?

This is my question as well. Billions of dollars of bombs and we can't effectively control the one main strategic / bargaining point Iran has. According to Google we sunk 11 subs out of 20-30.

So is that the reason that they could close the straight because they have several subs still available to them ? Not sure how true Google search is, but what do you believe in times of war? You just have to go with the home team.

Also, if they had additional subs available to them, and on the move in the area, it would be very unwise for them to navigate those waters, especially with our flotilla in the area..

But if the Google search statement is true, let’s go get those other subs..

It is not in the best interests of the US to unblock the Straight of Hormuz. Where did all the Iranian oil usually go?

It is in the best interests of the US to call on allies for help in this task, to have them (UK) refuse, and then to sit in the area for an extended period. Each day, China and the EU get lesser and lesser reserves, and the US is self sufficient. The net gains each day are huge.

It is very clear now why Venezuela was handled first.

It seems like the only irritant is the people paying more at the pumps and some industrial gas shortages. The first can be fixed with a check, and the second points out a reliance on distant and poor quality supply chain partners.

Nah, it’s not just Trump. They hate every conservative, living or dead, and would make us all dead given the opportunity.
While that is certainly true, I don't recall the seething hatred of Reagan, Bush, et al. Sure, the usual subjects in the media carried the torches and pitch forks for the left but not like we see today. Maybe it's just the access that everyone has to the media now, either way it's sad that people aren't mature enough to rationally discuss their opinions, perhaps they never could.

I remember them going after Reagan. Bush, both, were RINOs and the media knew it, so they backed down. I'm still pretty sure Bush Sr. didn't campaign because he was told to stand aside for Obummer.

The lefties knew that what the did to Reagan was not enough, so they ramped up for Trump.

I think everyone is missing a huge point here. There is currently a cease fire and the Strait issues happened after the bombs stopped falling. We and Israel can take control of the Strait in no time I'm sure.

Iran is pulling these games while we are negotiating. If negotiations cease, we could take control of the straight in hours I'm sure. What's Iran controlling it with, inflatable rafts?

And what @Confluence said above is spot on. This is intentional on our part as well. It benefits us for it to be closed for a period of time.

Federal judges control a lot in this country. They are kinda like terrorists.
Not being a political scholar, how did this country allow this to happen and become an acceptable action of not just federal judges but local magistrates as well?
