9-7 records should always be considered Tomlinships regardless of who is the head coach.
Similar to the way we honor Vince Lombardi for whom we name the coveted trophy after….The Lombardi.
 
But seriously, should we continue this over .500 trend the next few years, we can’t seriously blame Tomlin anymore. Can we?
That means we convicted an innocent man!

We can obviously blame him for a year or two as he was the architect of the sustained mediocrity and this aging over paid roster.

But, at some point around year 2-3 of the new coach ya can’t put anything on him anymore.

Can McCarthy break through Mike/Art’s ceiling of 10 wins is the bigger question for me

That was eye opening considering he has the gift of gab…or of BS, however you want to look at it.
Maybe he was afraid of what he might say once he got rolling.
Or maybe what he really wants to say isn’t going to be very nice…best not say anything.
Or maybe he’d be happy seeing us being pissed off over him not speaking, and it seems to have worked.
Or maybe he knows whatever he says will be met with criticism…so **** them.

Non-Losing Season (8-10 wins) + 1st round exit = Tomlinship

This terminology will stand as a monument to his work in perpetuity or until the dissolution of the NFL.

QB: Downgrade - Bottom five (or lower) QB room as of today.

RB: Upgrade - Gainwell was the better receiver, but Dowdle is a better runner.

WR: Upgrade - Pittman is a massive upgrade over whatever we tried at WR2.

TE: Upgrade - not having Smith take snaps away from Freiermuth is big. Need depth, though.

OL: Downgrade - Seumalo was still good, just the injuries piling up and a year older was a concern.

DL: Upgrade - added a talented rotational player.

LB: Push

EDGE: Push

CB: Upgrade - Pierre was betting on a repeat performance, Dean has a longer track record.

S: Upgrade - Brisker should be a nice fit.

I think that G will come within the first three rounds. Which could possibly be a push. They did add a free agent G that can help stop the bleeding.

That term has been around for quite a while. It’s not anything new. We saw this crap coming ten plus years ago. Haha, If that’s accusatory in nature and you have something to say, let’s have at it. I’m not much for innuendo. I prefer straight-forward. You want to be a closet d-bag, I’m cool with that as well, take my ball and go home.

Total cost, potential total cost, expense may have been more clear. Last year, Gainwell’s contract was only 1.8 million. The total potential expenditure of the Dowdle deal was two at 12.25. I’m not certain on all the lingo. So, you’re paying three times more for a year if all goes the same.

And Gainwell got $7 million per year from Tampa Bay. Also, no one is complaining about Pittman getting paid more than any of the nobodies playing WR2 for us last season.

When you factor in the cost, compare it to what you had last year financially, it seems more like a push. If you read what I posted days back, it was the highest grade. This doesn’t make it a bad signing. In my eyes, it seems like a push.

That same person left came back under a different name and pretty much denied that he had been here prior to as well.

Hey sport, you want to rock in your own little echo chamber, be king of the roost, have at it. There’s not much being said here anyways. I’ll save you some trouble, the playoff win is probably not a safe bet but don’t bet against it.

As for the term Tomlinship, I’ll go back to Tomlin Trophy, It’s alliterative and has been around for roughly fifteen years. That way you two can trademark Tomlinship and not be offended regarding its use. Have a good one!
