Iran

I just can't with that guy. It's like arguing with a 3 year old. He's worse than the legions of bogus bot accounts running propaganda 24/7 on social media. They have farms of that stuff and it's increased 20 fold since Trump took office.

I do get a kick out of reading yinz guys beat downs on him...lol

Yeah, he annoys most to the point of ignoring him. I guess I'm a sadist. I relish the interactions and subsequent spankings.

Flog’s retardation is blatant but you and Supe do a great job of keeping it exposed front and center. The floggings are comical.

Simple question. Where were you for 4 years under Biden when this was never, ever the case? We didn't hear a single criticism from you then.

But now. Now you are outraged.

Some of you have an itch to scratch, and you can’t help yourselves. I’m not the least bit outraged.

A bit concerned that we’re on the precipice of global calamity and war, with a clearly frazzled administration calling the shots? Yes. Outraged? No. There is literally nothing at all surprising about any of this.

And spare me your Biden nostalgia and whataboutism. I don’t give a rat’s *** about that old fool. He was a terrible president other than saving the Republic and steadying the ship for a year or two, after the utter chaos and mayhem which ensued when, for the first time in American history, a president wasn’t man enough to gracefully concede the election, and made a mockery of the nation and its citizens.

We saw very different things, people, etc. Very, very different.

its not whataboutism when you determine why something failed. and it extends well past Biden. When Obama released the Iranian funds, things kicked off over there. there's absolutely no discussion about that. a unilateral decision to release, and subsequently, fund terror attacks from that moment forward. there was absolutely zero reason to release those funds. none at all. it only served to strengthen and embolden a terrorist state and thus cause chaos on a global scale.

keep in mind, that Iran was still exporting millions of barrels of oil, so this essentially made the rich a bit richer. Even if Iran is a virtual shithole by definition, the rulers were not living in the despair and poverty subjected to the Iranian citizens.

while you do prefer a surgical or more democratic approach to violence, times like these someone needs to be a bigger bully and put them in their place. Under the Obamaa admin, we saw our status as being the strongest nation on the planet weaken. We got tougher under Trump's first presidency, but then were neutered again under Biden and the autopens.

President Obama made a deal with Iran hoping that they would play nice and unfreezing roughly $100 billion in Iranian assets, giving the regime a cash infusion to fund Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, and its basic missile program. These are the same missiles that have been raining down on the region since, falling down on our forces and allies alike.

Is there anyone out there naive enough to believe that Iran would uphold their end of the agreement? The deal didn't stop Iran's nuclear ambitions. It subsidized everything around them.

Nice retort. Very classy.

The article you're referencing is from last year, August 2025, an entirely different scenario than the Russian missile attack on the pipeline in January of this year. You've crossed your wires up a bit. You can apologize if you want to, I doubt that you will.

It seems rather strange why - in the middle of the Iran crisis thread - you're suddenly concerned about the state of Hungarian energy and politics, and the fate of a notorious liar and propagandist in the death throes of losing his grip on power. It's even stranger why you concern yourself with two tiny central European countries, the only two, who are still sucking the teat of Russian oil, when multiple alternatives are readily available to them, as they've been for years. The fact the leaders of Hungary, and to a lesser extent Slovakia, two of the most corrupt nations in the EU, are connected at the hip to Putin, has been an open secret for over a decade. The fact Orban carries Putin's water in the EU, subverting the alliance at every turn, is also no secret. The hope is, that in three short weeks in the general election, Hungarians will toss Orban on the trash pile of history. One of the dirtiest, most traitorous and corrupt politicians this country has ever had. Of course, much like Putin, he too is the sitting U.S. President's BFF. Some things never change.
Rather than more unmitigated buullshit from the coffee maiden, let's hear from the authority in Hungary, and all can make their own conclusion:

Pakistan and North Korea get a pass.
They already have them. That makes it much harder to deal with. That is the whole point of acting before Iran has them and it is too late. Of all the regimes they would be by far the most likely to use them or provide them to others to use. Instead of a conventional war it would push us much closer to the brink of full nuclear war that could easily get out of hand if there was any misunderstanding of who did what. That can't ever be allowed to happen.

I haven't worn a uniform on over half a century, which makes me both old and wise.
But maybe, just maybe there's a reason that the general public and Democrat politicians aren't privy to every action this country takes
in this conflict with the Islamic Iranians. Nor should we be.

Yeah, but Trump.
