Pens 25-26 thread

This announcer has to be from Carolina...He sounded absolutely ecstatic the Canes won
 
Anyone who doesn't think this team can make some noise is nuts. Without our top two players we took the best team in the league to a shootout. In their house. Yes, a win would have been great, but don't underestimate what they are with Sid and Geno.

I think they play better as a team without them. It's as if they think they can bank the game and 87 and/or 71 will be there to bail them out after slacking off rather than compounding their play and totally dominating when everyone is healthy

Well if they miss the playoffs we can all point to OT and shootouts as the reason....If they were even .500 in OT they would be leading the Met by a large margin I think.

Do they even practice shootouts through the week? The need to put shilovs in net because he needs work too, amd figure out who there best options are at shoot outs, and figure this out.

And think of this, and to prove your point….
We have the same amount of regulation losses as Carolina… each at 17.

It's unreal how both our goalies seem to be above average when it comes to blocking shots on breakaways. They get no lack of practice there but it's getting better. Maybe they need a sports psychologist to get them over their shootout issues.

To me the answer to the problem is for us to score more in the shootouts..

game speed vs lackadaisacal shoot out speed changes the advantage to the shooter dramatically.

What makes the backhand more impressive is he wasn’t looking.

I see the Avalanche routing us sadly.

I feel the Pens are still top notch and they are holding up quite well without their star guys.
Colorado is just a different animal right now

I'm definitely going to watch that one. If it's even remotely competitive, I'll be happy.
