Well, after some research , Ravens just making up stuff cause they don’t want to give up two first round picks. I was loving that deal too. Taking two first round picks away from a ravens had me happy.

My guess is they made the trade, then the owner saw their name on all of the trade loser lists, along with all the run about how the Ravens have never traded a first round pick, and got cold feet.
It really doesn't matter what they do since they are never going to win any big post season games with Jackson at QB.

Most of what I read was a win-win situation on the deal.
There is a third one too.. I just dont remember who.. they signed him then failed his physical when they wanted to go in another direction..
Maxx Crosby should pass a physical then try to sue them for slander or something,.. the Raiders should absolutely make a big deal about it.

He's not passing any phisical at the moment since Crosby is still recovering from the surgery he had after the season for the miniscus tear he played through last season. According to his surgeon, he is well ahead of schedule and should be back on the field for the pre-season activites with the team this spring.
The strange thing is the Ravens knew all of this about his kneee before they made the trade in the first place.
The issue has always been that Rodger and the Ravens owner are BFF's... but golden boy Brady runs the Rai-duhs now... so maybe something comes from it.. the timing is just way too perfect for an oopsie here..
The Ravens would have had access to Crosby's recovery stuff prior to the trade being agreed upon... they also had the option of having him take a physical before they agreed...
They flopped in free agency, didnt seem to have options to replace their center, ... now they have their first back and can get a Center and still add acwr and Te and Rusher that has an outside shot of making a first year impact...
if Hendrickson signs there, then its probably buyers remorse.. or perhaps they used the trade to keep the Crosby option open in case hebdrickson didnt sign

Hebdrickson just signed.. that means they probably were negotiating before the physical news
Hendrickson has a chronic back issue.. he is 31 abd will be 32 in December.. back issues on old defensive players arent great investments, which is why the defensively inept Bungles let him walk.

It’s a wait and see how it plays out, but I’m on board with the interesting part.
I can see them still getting docked the two 1st rounders and possibly the player in their lap.
The “Rog” will show favor and probably take a couple of their 5-7 picks.

The Ravens really need to extend him. They restructure Jackson, then in 2027 they have an even bigger headache with his contract and he has more leverage given it is effectively the last year of his contract (it voids after 2027).

Crosby’s injury and surgery was well known. It was reported months ago that he wouldn’t be ready until probably July. They just wanted their picks back after they saw they could get Henderson for less money and no picks.
The fact they signed Hendrickson so quickly makes it very shady. Hendrickson also just waited days to pick a team? I’d bet they stayed in contact with his agent and when his price came down a bit and it wouldn’t cost them draft picks, all of a sudden Crosby’s knee was a concern.
I’m sure the NFL will “investigate” and tell us nothing happened.

In newsome’s hay-day, the rats copied and modeled to be like the STEELERS.
It was that effort that created and made the greatest rivalry in pro sports.
That rivalry has tamed since front office personnel has changed.

Surgery on the meniscus was relayed by the ortho surgeon (whom all teams are familiar with). Excuse was BAL medical team were concerned after their review of scans and felt the risk was too great for the cost. I call bullshit, and GM had second thoughts about the loss of 2 1st rounders and Hendrickson was then available. The fact the GM said he was talking to both player agents tells it all.
Drink, even though this was done during the “legal tampering period”, this smacks negotiation not in good faith. Goodell should be involved, and I wouldn’t be surprised if LVR doesn’t file a grievance with the league about it. That trade impacted a dozen free agent signings across the league $$$ wise, and now the trade is voided.
Should be some kind of penalty, or remove the all negotiating periods with FA until the actual new year begins.

Thanks Ike, as this has progressed into a very bad deal by the ravens, I can see deeper discipline is needed.
There is a "working" trust amongst the teams to get deals done. Baltimore has a history of backing out on deal(s) that are assumed complete.
I'm sure this will hurt their credibility, but how about the rest of the teams involved?
Hard to say what the godell will do seeing how the rats owner and him are BFFs.
Time will tell as this plays out, cheatriots lost a 1st rounder for similar actions one time.

Ravens GM gave a presser and gave the double bird claiming they wanted BOTH Crosby and Hendrickson. Yeah, I'd love to hear how they fit that much money under the cap and let Linderbaum walk. Trying to CYA for how quickly they had a deal in place with Hendrickson. They know it will come out that they had already talked to him.

If the league decides to investigate they can, as they have in the past, collect all emails and texts around whatever incidents they are looking into.. if they find that the Ravens used a preknown injury to back out of an agreed upon deal they can dock them draft picks.. it will be no different than when the Pats tried to stash players on IR with minor injuries... all the pats fans screamed it wasn't technically illegal and didnt get the league can punish teams for not adhering to the spirit of the rule.. there are plenty of precedent cases where teams trued to loophole their way around cap, roster, free agency, and practice rules and ended up fined money or draft picks or both..
Now if the league investigates will just depend on how much pressure the affected teams like the Raiders and cowboys put on the league to do so.. Rodger wont on his own.. he loves those guys..
If the Ravens did the Crosby deal in bad faith..as a failsafe in case they couldnt sign Hendrickson or if they used the knee injury as a way to back out of the trade because they lost more free agents than they expected to, and there is any digital paper trail found... they absoolutely can be docked picks...

The thing is, BAL is a repeat offender with this tactic. On at least two occasions they reneged on a deal. If I was the Colts GM, I would be filing a grievance with the league as well, as the GM indicated they had a contract ready for Hendricksen to sign. Only for BAL to swipe him away with sweetened deal. Getting one of the top FA pass rushers was part of their plan before the draft. The other locking up Pierce. Now they are out of the sweepstakes, unless Crosby was to take less money and Vegas not get the return they intended to receive.
Next month’s League owners meeting is going to be pretty interesting if you are a fly on the wall. Can you imagine what would have happened if Vegas didn’t have all that cap room and had to take back Crosby’s contract after signing Linderbaum to that huge contract and the other moves they made? Not to mention, DAL wanted Crosby so bad but missed out and signed Gary from Green Bay. Now they can’t get Crosby even if they wanted to. Biscotti and DeCosta will be in chain mail when the meetings begin next month.
Even so, Goodell won’t do jack, and just say going forward no negotiations with FA until the new league year starts. If caught, the team loses a 1st round pick. Which is fine, but BAL gets away with it a third time.
