He said that he has no contract offer from the Steelers, so how could he be waiting? I hope they don't offer one.

Ok, I was confused and still am about going down that path being a draw, but it is what it is. We will all soon find out, not a big deal. As much as we try to decipher, I'm sure the team knows more and will operate accordingly through their FA plans.

Kind of a reversal of last year……..

Reality is, they are waiting to see what FA does. That gives MM a chance to evaluate and breathe.

If they get Malick Harris or draft Allar, both are a risk at least to a degree.

That risk regardless is still moving forward with the team.

Signing Rodgers, regardless of mentorship, as a starter is setting this team back.

We have to move on from the geriatric QB moves, we need actual investments of youth and developed QBs.

MM knows this, the announcement of Rodgers has kept under raps until it is final. I see currently that decision is n or fully made. I’m sure MM is seeing how FA & draft play out before finalizing the Aaaa-Ron dilemma.

Hopefully the decision is to axe the bring him back fallacy that he will make the team better.

I’ve said for years and years…….you have to draft your next young franchise QB. And WR. For me……this is the only way. Those 5 year contracts.

But can you have it both ways? Personally I would have drafted Dart last season. Yes the jury is obviously still out. But I think we have solved this QB carousel for the next 5 years.

I was one of the few that agreed with KP. Hindsight is 20/20. But if he was truly their #1 QB on the board in that whole draft they had to take the chance. Especially with the 21st pick. They simply had to go for it. Of course it’s a crapshoot. Even more so with a QB.
It would be nice to fantasize about back to back HOF QB’s. That is long gone. Bitter reality has set in.

Interestingly enough…….this Malik Willis love so many seem to have was absolutely panned and laughed about during his draft year.

on Harris, it’s those couple recent games he played way above the line that has so many interested today. I know it’s a small snap count in the grand scheme of things, but many see it as what is to come.

I didn’t want him at draft time, but because of his developement and time in the NFL he has become more pleasing.

He is a risk, but I think with the going rate of QBs that he would more likely than not, be worth the risk at the $24mil per.

I’m a little desperate to put the Geritol in storage and progress with youth and developement.

I don't recall any of A-Aron's teammates complaining, I think everyone liked him at both GB and here (in fairness the Jets are a dumpster fire).
The Steelers WILL sign a vet FA QB to be the starter, it's just a matter of who.

“I wanna look good. I wanna f- my wife all the time.” Aaron Rodgers said during his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show Tuesday.

“Ohhhh! Yeah! A normal thing a man says about his very real wife on my show.” McAfee said, grinning at the camera.

Rodgers laughed… but then his eyes slowly drifted off to the side of the screen.

“…What? No. I wasn’t talking about you.” Rodgers said, suddenly defensive. “I’m just joking around with the guys.”

McAfee’s smile grew.

“Is that… the mystery woman herself, Rodg? Did she hear yo—”

“What? No! I would never do that.” Rodgers snapped, continuing to argue with someone off camera. “It’s just guy stuff. I wasn’t talking about us. You know I would never.”

He paused, nodding.

“…Someone’s a little cranky today.”

The McAfee studio erupted.

“Oh my God she IS there!” McAfee said. “Rodgers! We’ve been hearing about this mysterious woman for like two years now. America deserves to see this beautiful lady you’ve been hiding from us.”

Rodgers sighed.

“Well… OK. But… I mean she’s half naked because… you know.”

He awkwardly adjusted his camera and slowly swung it to the side.

“Well… here she is, Pat. The woman everyone’s been obsessing over for some reason.”

His wife sat silently in frame, frozen with a blank, startled expression.

The McAfee studio fell into complete silence.

Rodgers sat there proudly.

“Well? Here’s the old ball and chain” he said smiling.

No one spoke.

Rodgers shifted awkwardly.

Then suddenly turned toward her.

“What? No! Come on, I just wanted you to meet my friends.” Rodgers said defensively.

“Don’t be weird about this. You're always like this when I try to show you off!”

Pat McAfee squinted his eyes as no one knew what to say.

Then suddenly AJ Hawk came into frame, completely expressionless.

He stared at Rodger’s wife for several seconds.

Then nodded politely.

“Nice to meet you, Brittani.”

What is stranger than Aaron Rodgers is how the Steelers are handling him. Seems like they're willing to run back last spring's handling of AR. According to him there's been no contract offer, so FA is going to open and the 2-3 valid options are going to go elsewhere while we play games with Rodgers. I know that some don't think there's 2-3 options out there but these are probably the same ones who gave a hard pass to Sam Darnold last year, who could have been had.

fwiw, no team has done better at replacing mvp QBs than the Packers, and while the jury on Love is still out, they are clearly on the correct path.

For this reason, I give MM and Ayahuasca A-Ron the consideration that maybe Howard is the guy. The years long apprenticeship that Favre, Rodgers and Love all did significantly helped their long term development.

If Howard isn't the guy, and they cannot draft that guy, then ditch the concept, start whomever and grab that Gints/Yets top 5 pick with a 3-14 2026 season.

They should have done exactly this when Ben hurt his elbow, but instead traded for Minkah to keep the Tomlinships flowing.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, when did he throw team mates under the bus on his radio show? Did you even listen to his radio show or are just going by this one guys opinion? A ton of teammates have said he was a great teammate.
And who gives a sh!t, is Ben the one that might be playing next year? Is Ben the one on McAfee right now? Ben has been retired 5 years what does he have to do with Rodgers?
I called Rodgers childish and an Ahole for how he acts on the field LAST season. Since you brought Ben up, tell me how many times you saw him screaming at his teammates on the field, or coaches, yelling at a RB, "what the F are you doing" yeah I'm sure those guys love getting shown up on the field like that every game.
I could care less about what Rodgers is doing off the field, I'm talking about the way he was acting on the field on TV last year.
Even if Ben did everything Porter said or if he was the perfect teammate, that wouldn't change the way I feel about us bringing Rodgers back.
