I think it's a very likely scenario.
Protect whoever plays QB with an elite LT & LG. The right side is developing.
2 x high round picks on the DL of late, but room for another high end pick as Heyward gets toward the end of the journey.
McCarthy run teams have a history of drafting trenches high.
Agree, I like Dunker and some others this draft. I watch a lot of B1G but didn't catch many Penn State games. Is Ioane worth a pick at 21?Gennings Dunker. Seumalo isn't getting any younger.
You may try that and you probably will earn some cement shoesWould people call Fagnano ***, for short? Go ***, go!
I would have to guess…. Joe maybe?Would people call Fagnano ***, for short? Go ***, go!
Chambliss and Murray are not even close to similar size or style. Chambliss is more Jackson than any other comparison. He's also 3" taller, and that's no small difference. Add in Murray's contract and injury addiction and it makes the choice even easier.Ty Simpson can use 2 rnd 3 picks move up in round 2, if Jets pass
I wouldn't get Trinidad because similar QB style and size you can get from AZ for a 6th and restructure Murray.
rest of the QB wont be better than Howard
If they brought in a Murray you would have to treat him like he is on IR, like flood the room with QB capable. As he is one cough away from an ICU swing.

mike whoShifty Shefty vehemently says Mike is not going to be traded.
I didn't know that little tidbit, good to tuck awayNeither is worth it. We need to use our 1st for a WR, in my opinion.
The Mac Jones trade is ridiculous, in my opinion. Shanahan was totally sold on drafting Jones in the the 2021 NFL draft, but was overruled for Trey Lance. So, when it came back that he had a chance to have Mac Jones on his team he took it. I don't think there is a chance he trades Mac Jones away.
If I am Malik Willis' agent knowing that the QB draft class is weak and the FA QB offerings are weak, I would be asking top dollar. Willis' stock is decently high right now and I bet one team will pay. I hope its not the Steelers. Not sure the $$ he'll get but I would maybe say something like Justin Fields?? 2/40mil, 30 guaranteed. Just a guess. Not top starter money but a nice chunk for a 6 game starter in 4 years. No on Simpson before the third. He's not better then Howard. Bigger no on Murray. Terrible work ethic. Id be intersted in Trinidad. Id be interested in Willis if there is s solid out on the contract. Same with Mac Jones if there is a similar out and no more then a 3. I don't care if we know if Rodgers is playing. The team has to know before FA.
I would love Trinidad Chambliss on the steelers, but he's not my first round pick. More like 3rd. He's got the "it" factor, but it's still a work in progress. He just shows up on the biggest stages. They didn't lose because of him, they lost because they couldn't stop the run...Neither is worth it. We need to use our 1st for a WR, in my opinion.

If Safety is the pick, there are a lot of good ones. Caleb Downs- OSU will be a top 5 pick. Thienamen- Oregon, Ramsey-USC, McNeil- Warren-Toledo, Haulcy-LSU, probable 2 round. Clark-TCU, Wheatley- Penn State, Moore- Indiana, 4 or 5 rounds. A couple of sleepers are Wisniewski-Texas Tech, and Fitzgerald-USC. I really like Haulcy. 6 ft-0 in 220, and hits like a truck.I know this isn’t a popular opinion, but truth be told……… they need another 2nd rnd stud OL-Lt or G.
The 1st three picks need to be S / WR / OL (not in order), but not tomlin type draftees, ones drafted for the exact position they will be playing.
**** the draft and change position in the name of diversity, a tomlin staple. Let’s start drafting guys with the position they will be playing, and make them experts at that position.!!!
Salute the nation
Are you thinking OT or OG? He would be great at either.Gennings Dunker might be my favorite player in the draft...make it so.

This is what I said weeks ago. Not in the detail you did, but yeah he seems like the most competent body available.Personally, there is no QB in the draft I'm interested in for the early top 3 rounds. I would definitely take a shot on Sawyer Robertson or Haynes King or Joe Fagnano (PA dude) late. Probably 4th or later wherever the scouting department thinks is applicable. Could be 4-7. Either way, the overall message is we are not fixing our QB issue this draft even with Will Howard on board. He needs competition to bring out the best. The FA crop sucks with 6'1" Malik Willis heading the class and a lot of his former team's staff going to Miami. With the surplus of draft capitol, do we trade for Mac Jones if all else fails? What would it take? and does the team let it be known before the negotiations with AR8 begins? The QB issue should be top priority in fans' minds.
If he improved...great.Mac was awful in NE. He played good in SF, but was it scheme or did mac improve? Ithink there are too many question marks to give up alot for him.
Its really about the escapability. 30m is tge price of rice for a starter with upside. Aaron might play cheaper and better but literally no future there. If I am Malik Willis' agent knowing that the QB draft class is weak and the FA QB offerings are weak, I would be asking top dollar. Or McCarthy's hybridized WCO. Either one is A MASSIVE upgrade over what we've seen the since the killer B'sIf he improved...great.
If it's scheme...great
We will have the scheme. If we get(or have)the accompying personnel to run a Shanahan type hybridized WCO.
With their failures at getting a WR in free agency I am all for trading up for Lemon.
Yeah still locking in my wants but I agree this draft is pretty top weak.
If they want to stay with the 3/4 they should get themselves a more stout NT.
I read these comments and say to myself, "we're in QB hell right now". Memories of the 80's and 90's.
