The ONLY way this McCarthy move makes sense is if this is truly the transition from Art II to Danny.
I think Art II wanted to be THE MAN for just a few more years.
When Danny takes over, he'll clean out Omar, McCarthy, et. al and start putting his stamp on the franchise.
