Tomlin stepping down

This thing needs stripped down to the studs and rebuilt. That includes a championship culture, which is long gone.

We need a good carpenter and architect who can mold this thing back into something we recognize again.

I hope they do
their due diligence because we know whatever coach they hire will be here for the long haul.

This mediocre hell had to end.

I believe the best thing about Tomlin stepping aside is we can finally get rid of most if not all of the coaching staff.. which to me was the bigger problem

The bigger problem? How many coaches have we been through since the Arians Lebeau era?

Man come on.

We are getting rid of the problem that led to the bad coaching hires.

Oh man ... the rumors. Y'all remember all the rumors that come with a coaching search? The national media will be all over this search ... spreading half-truths, lies and blank blank lies.
nuch like the WR search....only more so

At this point, I wouldn't care whether Tomlin stepped down, ARll told him to step down or The Ghost Of Super Bowls Past came and told him to look at the mess he's made. The fact that he's gone is good enough without knowing the how. (Because, as was said earlier, it's likely we'll never know the 'how/why')
My suspicion is more that Deuce finally told him no extension without a playoff win.

Aaron Rodgers for HC.

I could be wrong but I'd think this is a great job for someone to step into. There's no pressure to make the Super Bowl next year because we all know this team is not close to being as good as the one MT took over from BC. Maybe new guy can add a couple pieces, devise a scheme to match the available talent and head off to the promised land. I'd just like to see a playoff win but also understand if there's tough sledding ahead for a couple years.

At least the new guy also doesn't have to worry about hearing this: Well he won a super bowl but it was with Tomlins players. 🤣

Well wait a minute on the Rooney Rule.
Does the rule not state that an organization must interview a minority candidate? That’s the essence of the rule or am I missing something?
I think it makes a fair hiring practice and provides ALL qualified candidates an opportunity to be interviewed.
Yes that’s why the Rats interviewed Cance Joseph
I don’t think they are considering him since it didn’t go so well in Denver,IDK

Super late to the party, was driving home from a golf swing lesson and my wife text me (she's not a football fan at all)...so wow, just processing the whole thing as I type this.

Never had any ill will towards the guy, and am very thankful for what he did bring us, but it was time for sure. Now the search begins, but who is spear heading the search? Rooney or Khan?

So glad. Mrs. Fan called me at my new job to tell me. My response?

"THANK YOU, JESUS!"

This is 10-15 years overdue.

Don't have any have for the man. Hated the man's leadership. It was Busch league.

Have a great future, Mr. Tomlin.

The Pickens deal was of desperation, not shrewdness. Not sure that Kahn has made a bigger deal, since this begat the DK bad trade & contract.
the Pickens deal was ignorant. Granted, he was being a head case and likely would have or could have escalated that with DK, but dude is talented. I believe the passing game would have been relevant with both Pickens and DK.
