Call me crazy but I'd like to know what actually happened and if he is guilty of a crime before I throw him under the bus. DV is kind of a broad term, it can be a Ray Rice situation or it can be something as mild as the neighbors hearing a man raise his voice and calling the cops and the woman saying she was scared he might do something.
 
To The Rog, just the accusations are enough. Pattern of behavior can be construed to mean, "pattern of being falsely accused"....
 
Maybe a woman gets mad at her boyfriend lashes out and goes to the police and files a false report stating that he pushed her up against the wall.

why?

maybe she went to work and someone told her that she could get the boyfriend out (the same boyfriend that told her he was leaving at the end of the month) early. Co worker explained it could happen by putting a restraining order on him.

How dare he tell her he was leaving her and give her money for bills. But in doing so he knew it would be easier to move with a little cash in his pocket hence is why he didn't leave right away..

At the station she tells the police that she would like a restraining order, they inform her she needs to file charges against the boyfriend to make that happen. With the idea fresh in her head she makes up a cockamamie story about him pushing her up-against the wall.

The police show up and kick him out and now he is out a place to live unable to leave the state if he wishes. He deceives her and tells her he won't leave her and will move back in IF she drops the trumped up charges, Unbeknownst to her he taped her admitting the charges were bullshit (not that a taped confession would be usable in court without her knowing it was taped) But he knows it will be good enough for people around him to believe his innocence.

The girl buys into his flimflam drops the charges and in the process he moves back in.

The next day they go to work. He drives home a hour later and packs up all his possessions and drives to Florida.

Long Island NY I bid you a welcomed good riddance.

exactly. it's not as if McDonald was the beacon of morality and preferred employee conduct for the NFL, either.
Six games, minimum.... regardless of if he did anything wrong. Precedent has been set.

These knee jerk reactions are crazy. Forget waiting for any facts, just cut a guy and have him essentially blackballed by the league. What the hell do these players pay union dues for?

Everyone is so afraid if ESPN and twitter saying mean things about them. You are giving these people power they don't have. You think people will cancel their Bears tickets? You think sponsors will drop? Great. Let Bud drop and I'll have Miller in the stadium an hour later.

Jim Harbaugh stood up for McDonald. Refused to cut him until the investigation was complete. Oh what a jerk, waiting for due process. The media got mad for a few days and then nothing. They went looking for the next weak person to bully into whatever decision clowns like Kornheiser want made.

Have some balls. Tell the media that you are waiting for the facts and then you will deal with McDonald. If he's guilty, then you cut him. I can't believe we've come to a point where waiting for facts is seen as some kind of injustice to be protested.

That is the way of the media now unless you represent one of their special interest groups or special interest factions you will be tried and convicted in the media regardless of facts. The other thing is their tendency to try and fan the flames of racism every chance they get, in instances where it becomes apparent that racism is not involved the story just fades away with nothing left but accusations. Responsible reporting looking for the facts has been gone for a long time.

The story below I found quite sometime ago among lots of others showing how many news outlets would try to create an event to drive the news where none existed. Many years ago a major network reporter was filmed exiting a van with a sign that was at the least very provocative claiming him to be part of some group and attacking another group that was having a public rally. I no longer remember the specifics other than the sign was designed so that it would likely instigate a violent response by the other group which was often a target of the left wingers. No response was forth coming from the targeted group and the baiting failed. The reporter might surprise you. Geraldo Rivera way before he got to Fox news. To this day he has no credibility with me at all, if he reports something I will need to see it else where with different supporting footage before I will consider it even close to the truth.

My ex-wife (now deceased) did something similar to me. It's amazing what can be done to someone even though they are supposed to be 'innocent until proven guilty".
 
That is the problem for every woman that FAKES this situation there are several that are actually living it. There has to be a better way with dealing with this ...
