Just this weekend two scrawny white kids tried to fight a former UFC Heavyweight champion backstage at the Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua fight.
Guys were prob 5'9 160 at best.
People in this world are way too comfortable writing checks they can't cash.

As bad as the move was by DK,
I hope that punk fan suffers consequences that make him wish DK punched him in the face instead.

It's all optics tied to money. Most people should agree DK should no better, but that fan is a punk and should have got punched in the mouth.
My positive spin
If we need DK to beat the Browns we don't deserve to win. We are gonna roll the Browns by double digits. They just lost their best player (Judkins) and Pittsburgh has all the momentum. No possible way we lose the the Browns.

DK has 2 weeks to reach a boiling point and play angry in the playoffs.
Steelers have 2 weeks to spread the ball around, get Theilen warmed up, maybe MVS for a playoff run.
Worst case scenario it burns to the ground and we get out of the DK business for alot less than anticipated.
 
So there is audio of this dude saying he got what he wanted.

The Fan was talking about Shaq Lawson pushing an Eagles' fan in 2023. No penalty from the league, only a fine from the Bills.

Not excusing DK's actions, it was dumb and he shouldn't have been anywhere near that guy. However, very different penalties for Lawson, Lamar, and DK.
 
In the Lawson video at least like DK he went up to the fan in the stands because they were taunting him. That is more precedent then Lamar. The fan initiated physical contact with Lamar. Totally unrelated.

Per the NFL's own statement, it is completely related to Lamar's actions.

"Metcalf's actions violate league policy, which specifies that 'players may not enter the stands or otherwise confront fans at any time on game day and ... if a player makes unnecessary physical contact with a fan in any way that constitutes unsportsmanlike conduct or presents crowd-control issues and/or risk of injury, he will be held accountable,'" the league said in a statement.

Yep. Look, DK was dumb. But we are getting too far away from the world in which the things you say can have consequences. I remember growing up the Steelers beat the Cowboys in the Super Bowl and my big mouth got to flapping to an older Cowboy fan kid. I still don't know what the hell a high school kid was doing hanging around where a bunch of jr high kids were, but none the less. It was Staubach sucks! Cowboys suck and blah, blah. Blam! Punched me in the mouth. I didn't wah, wah to anybody, my Dad, and my Mom for that matter would have told me I deserved it. But it was one of those times that taught me that sometimes you gotta monitor what you say. People have gotten used to thinking they can say any damn thing they want hiding behind computer screens and phones.

It says unnecessary physical contact. If you are shoved, punch, hit etc etc and you retaliate i wouldn't call they unnecessary. Lamar was shoved, his teammate was hit. DK was neither

Slugging opposing fans for trash talk isn't the answer. If he said something racist and something about his mom, I get it. Until that is proven, DK responded poorly and it could cost him and his team.

Steeler fans are some of the worst trash talkers, they were chanting F&*^& Myles Garrett on the Mcafee show during camp, Myles laughed it off and said it is fun and fuels him. This happens in every stadium, every week.

Speaking of Garrett, if you believe DK, do you believe Myles? If not, why? The uniform he wears?

You don't understand what I am saying. I'm not saying I believe DK. Idk, I wasn't there. I do not understand the need to go to games and say anything to players by any fans, Steeler fans either. It is not a mentality I get. I think if there was a little danger to people who act that way, maybe it would stop some of it. Maybe DK is lying, but regardless there is no doubt the guy was trying to get a reaction. Why do that? Bigger picture, it didn't work. His team lost.

I was more saying you didn't deserve a knuckle sandwich for saying the Cowboys and Staubach suck. That's standard trash talk. If that happened in every NFL stadium every time fans jawed with each other, the league would be shut down.

Yeah I did. I was an assshole because I was badgering. And of course you are right. You can't have that. It's just a particular frustration I have. As a society we just need a little more decency.
