Rodgers has a small fracture in left wrist

The Steelers’ QB room isn’t going to be the issue. Rodgers taking such a cap-friendly deal, bringing Rudolph back for exactly this situation, and the unexpected fall of Howard in the draft all give Pittsburgh a legitimately strong quarterback group. A cerebral veteran like Rodgers paired with a teammate like Rudolph is exactly what you want when developing a young quarterback like Howard. But putting Howard in too early would be a mistake. Let Ruddy spell Rodgers for a couple of weeks. These next two games are probably the toughest remaining on the schedule—Detroit is right there in that mix too.

Now, the real concerns:

1. Number one wide receiver.

DK is a solid No. 2, but not a true WR1. Meanwhile, George is sitting at 144 yards and a touchdown before the fourth quarter tonight.

2. Secondary play.
They’re generating a decent number of turnovers, but they’re also giving up far too many easy completions.

3. Run defense.
Which unit is going to show up—the one that shut down Jonathan Taylor, or the one that lets backups like Vidal or Emanuel Wilson run all over them?

4. Pass rush.
Herbig looks like the best of the bunch right now, Highsmith is consistently banged up, and TJ is aging. As a group it still works, but thank God there’s depth behind them.

It was a pretty good day. Watched Washington Truck the **** out of three Bungle defenders. Then the Riders beat the Alouettes. Its kinda interesting. We are a province of 1 million total.
JV team I coach won cities. undefeated.
Senior Team won Provincials undefeated.
Riders won Grey Cup.
Our City Junior Team (I guess kinda equivalent of Junior College) won Western Canada (many kids I coached)
Our University team (with several kids I coached) is playing in the National Championship next Saturday.
For a little province that's pretty damn good.
* oh and it was Machine Gun Kelly at halftime. The backflip skidoo guys might have been better*
Grats on a great season by your teams! Sounds like the dream scenario happened

Its actually pretty unbelievable. If Huskies win that would be amazing. That is hardest of all of them. They have a linebacker from our city (I never coached but went to our program) he is going to get NFL FA camp invites. Hope it the Steelers.
He's 6'3 245 and his short area speed (3 cone 6.88 shuttle 4.18) at CFL combine was equivalent to DBs.

It is frustrating as hell watching Pickens tear it up on MNF.

I don’t think he was ever happy here Top. When the trade happened I thought that’s worth a 30 million + a year contract and 1400 yards. That offense throws the ball, and no matter what you think of Dak….he can wing it. Steelers did George a big favor.
Sure,I would have loved to see Pickens and Metcalf on the field together. I think there would have been many problems with Pickens. He wanted out.

I think Dante Moore is going to stay for another season at Oregon, and he'll be a fine choice for some team in 2027. The QBs coming out next year don't impress me, either.

I'm not anointing Howard. I just wouldn't mind seeing how he looks in an NFL game.
With Manning returning I think his time might be now to declare in this upcoming draft for Moore. As I am not sure his stock can and or will rise higher…

What do you think DKs numbers for the Cowboys would be? We could see Pickens talent here, but we rarely used it. If Pickens was putting up the numbers he is now with us, he would still be here. I pretty much agree with everything else. The whole team is live and die by the turnover.

I'm also confident Metcalf would have similar numbers to Pickens in the Cowboys offense.

If the Steelers did not pay Metcalf what they did, someone else would have, and probably used him better in the process.

Metcalf and Pickens are both downfield/combat catch guys who can be dangerous after the catch.

Neither is going to consistently shake DBs with their route running, and considering that, Lamb is actually the perfect complement to Pickens.

The Steelers offense has been a pretty frustrating system for young WRs for awhile now. They're just paying Metcalf enough to put up with it.

I'm as sold as you can be in November on drafting Makai Lemon in the first round.

This is a multifaceted question.

DK on the 2025 Cowboys I would say 1,000 yards plus or minus 100.

DK on the 2024 Steelers with two benched NY quarterbacks? 700 yards plus or minus 100 yards.

George on 2025 Steelers with Rodgers I would say 1,200 yards plus or minus a 100.

I don't think his injury will have any negative effect on the season record. Mason, if he plays, may actually get us an extra win or two. At least he'll stand in the pocket under duress and throw the deep ball.

How strange, considering that Tomlin has the widespread reputation as a "player's coach."

Manning returning has nothing to do with Dante Moore.
As I am not sure his stock can and or will rise higher…
Why is that? He's not even in ESPN's top ten right now.

Which would be fine……if that equated to a coach having better success than having won playoff games in 4 years out of 19 years. 4 years out of 19 years.🤪🤪

I am just thinking of scenarios. Just like the agents do with projected draft slotting. If a draft is less positional top heavy it could potentially cause players to rise, and if it is more top heavy they could fall. So sure one player may or may not affect his positioning but my overall scenario might. The players do get told what they project at.

If they think Manning and QB B, etc. make his class top heavy and year 1 ( 2026) less top heavy they sure will convey that to Moore.

So besides that I also think about will their stock elevate more from year 1 to 2. If I don’t think they will rise significantly then I think they might declare year 1.

ESPN, I never take too much stock in anything they say or predict.

I always look here this is a plethora of sites (63 yes you read that right) that that are compiled together. I have used them for a long time …

He is 6th here overall.

I have also glued in on this class and it arguably hasn’t performed like it initially was projected to. I could easily see Moore’s people tell him this is his perfect opportunity to declare.

Nice post

That site has us taking Sellers at #19 right now, wow just wow

I would break every TV in my house if that happened

You could come and break mine too, leave no stone unturned!

I don't think it's fair to compare Dallas' WR room to ours.

Dallas won on the trade because they have WR1 and WR1a; the Steelers got a WR2 for 30mil...

I don’t think DK is a number 2. You put him in Dallas scheme and he is equally as productive.

Plus Dak is what 10th in passing and almost 70 percent completion rating?

In the Steelers scheme DK is easily the most productive. Give the Steelers a talented pairing I bet his number would rise quickly… there is absolutely no threat opposite DK.

Have to disagree with this take …
