Im writing this now because, lets be honest, Pitt just got ranked so they historically are due to blow the Notre Dame game next week in epic fashion, and all of this will be moot... but...

This week both Virginia ( the final team without an official ACC loss) and Louisville ( the only ACC team to beat Pitt thus far this year) lost today. That significantly increased Pitts chance of winning the ACC, which is a mess this season...

But they still have a chance to win out and still get shut outvof the ACC title game. While they play Georgia Tech head to head in two weeks, they dont play SMU nor Virginia. Both one loss ACC teams.

If both win out, they both will have beaten the Louisville Cards that beat the Panthers.
Virginia also lost to a common opponent Pitt beat (NCSU, who is an acc team, but in a fluke, played Virginia as a non conference game.) it would come down to tiebreakers that likely wont be solidified till seasons end...

SMU wasnt beaten by any team pitt beat, so with a win over the Cards, they would have a 1 game win vs common opponents)

now here is the thing, has GT and Miami won last week, and won all their games but vs pitt the rest of the year, there were a couple scenarios where Pitt could have missed the acc CG and still gotten an at large bid, but that is not the case anymore.

Now again, their schedule is home vs Notre Dame, away vs Georgia Tech, and then home vs Miami.

There is a far better shot they go 0-3 than 3-0, but still there is a chance they finish 10-2, win 8 in a row, finish the season by beating 3 consecutive ranked teams end up with a top ten scoring and passing offense in all division 1, and still miss out on the ACC CG on a technicality

Pittsburgh needs a champion in something.
At least Cleveland Clown, Cavs and Guardian fans have Ohio State to look forward to.

Pitt isnt winning a championship😂... but it would be nice to make the playoffs with the new QB...
Yeah I know, just sayin’.

The last time was 1976 I believe. Featuring Pittsburgh native Tony Dorsett who also won the Heisman that same year.

As much as their time is due, I wouldn’t overthink this.
Notre Dame is a massive favorite this weekend. If Pitt loses it, it isn't blowing it, Notre Dame is good.

As well as Pitt has played, they'll be underdogs against Georgia Tech and Miami. This team was going to be lucky to win 6 games this season so they've already exeeded expectations.

No doubt, which is why i posted this to ***** about that schedule wuirk now... it will be moot in a week or two

Kinda wonder where they'd be if the Frosh had been QB from the start...

Pitt's OC, Kade Bell, is a great young offensive mind. He's proving what he can do at the Power-4 level with good quarterback play. I hope they can convince Heintschel to stay out of the portal.

I’m not a fan of Pitt, but it’s nice to see the doing well. They stumbled on to a good QB that they, for whatever reason, decided wasn’t good enough to start the season. Kinda makes you wonder what they saw or failed to see.

Kid was a 3 star true freshman whom Pitt was the only power 4 school to offer a scholarship to.. they had an Alabama transfer that they just paid a mint in NIL money to retain from last year...

It was an extremely ballsy move to give him the start...
