One perspective is that we aren’t as shltty as the bad teams the Colts beat.

Well it make you feel better if we say, "you're right"?The Steelers are Dead last in pass yards allowed for the season.

LOL. What games do you watch? Porter was the most penalized DB in the league in 2024, he is on pace to repeat in 2025.Sorry, I read can't run or stop the pass wrong. My brain read stop the run or pass. And I though Porter played well aside from the penalties which one was a total joke. Best coverage guy we have.

Yes, that’s one place You don’t wanna be, especially in today’s NFL. Once again, just going by my eyeball test, I just hope the coaching staff does not insert numbers 21 and 22 back into starting lineup Sunday night. The Steelers are Dead last in pass yards allowed for the season.

He is so bad they traded away a desperately needed safety to bring in Ramsey because Porter has underperformed
DelusionalHe has been our best coverage guy when on the field this year. His penalties are mostly reputation calls and not anything that isn't being done by any of the best. The best DBs get the most calls league wide simply because they play the tightest coverage and use their hands. They also brought Ramsey in to be a safety/slot more than a CB. HE WAS NOT intended to replace Porter. I have no idea where people get some of this crap. Most of if not all our secondary issues have been more scheme than talent. Porter will always get some penalties but sometimes that is better than a completion.
Is that really a bad thing though? Chase is a generational talent. Remember when AB absolutely COOKED db’s like Chris Harris (who didn’t allow a td in 2 years), Aqib Talib, AJ Bouye, an in-his-prime Ramsey? All guys who were legit, shutdown corners. That didn’t mean that those defensive backs were garbage, far from it. Just that AB was on another plane of existence. Now, I don’t think Chase is quite at “that” level, his talent/ability is undeniable, and to compare JPJ to Chase is laughable. JPJ will NEVER be those guys, but there’s no reason to think he can’t play a role a la Ike Taylor, Bryant McFadden, Deshea Townsend, who were all solid in their own respects (of course, he needs to stop being a ***** and stop shying away from contact, first).Delusional
Why was Ramsey on Chase?? Is he the Wr2?
Lol
Porter will never get close to Ramseys level. Ever
The colts have not had a 100yd reciever all year.
Until they played JPJ
two nobodies had 100 yd games
Also, according to everyone’s favorite PFF, Porter has a very respectable coverage grade (if I’m not mistaken). All that said, I’d still take Ramsey at his current self over anyone else on this roster. Is that really a bad thing though? Chase is a generational talent. No right or wrong in statistics. It is what it is.Well it make you feel better if we say, "you're right"?
Then what do we do???
Say his name...I dare you!!!the addition of dugger, the amount he played, the difference that was made.. The other logical changes that were made in the defensive backfield,,,, WTF was the dbacks coach doing all this time.. What are his standards of evaluation. Who made all the changes?
Porter would likely have been on Chase, BUT HE DIDN"T PLAY, he was still out hurt! Porter has been very good in many games in coverage. For what they are worth he has had very good PFF rankings throughout his career.Delusional

For someone who didn't play against Cincinatti, Joey Porter Jr did pretty well on the stats sheet as he had 5 tackles. I'm also pretty sure I saw him give up a DPI penalty.Porter would likely have been on Chase, BUT HE DIDN"T PLAY, he was still out hurt! Porter has been very good in many games in coverage. Stats as I have said for a long time do not always paint an accurate picture on what is good or what is to blame. No right or wrong in statistics. It is what it is.
I wasn't giving an opinion or pushing a narrative.

I mostly go by my good old time tested.. always reliable eyeball test!Stats as I have said for a long time do not always paint an accurate picture on what is good or what is to blame.
Scheme, talent, X and O coaching all play hands in outcomes.
Also at times it is when the stats are occurring. Like is it when a team has the lead or when they are trying to come from behind?
Too many factors that contribute. So I look at the most important statistic, wins and losses. That is what positions you for success or the lack there of.
That is also the Steelers most telling stat. Success during the season and failure post season.
That goes beyond even the stat showing that then jumps to a trend. When all the parts change but one, and the outcome is the same that is clearly a trend.
Fans would be wise to look more to trends and less to sometimes deceiving statistics.
You sure he was listed as out in the report I saw. That night is a blur though. I could be mistaken. I swore he was still out.For someone who didn't play against Cincinatti, Joey Porter Jr did pretty well on the stats sheet as he had 5 tackles. I'm also pretty sure I saw him give up a DPI penalty.
