Trade deadline thread

Smart for Jets to unload him for two firsts
They are 1-8 with him and will save on the cap and be able to stick picks to get a QB
Yeah that makes sense i just generally value a much proven player over a crap shoot. Im not sure there are any no brainer QBs in next year's draft, but perhaps 2027.

Seahawks and Saints trade details

The Seahawks get: WR Rashid Shaheed

The Saints get: A 2026 fourth and fifth-round draft pick

They get a good speedy WR here. Wonder if Steelers had him on the radar. Sam Darnold will light him up. Great addition for a second WR.
That's expensive

Jets have dumped 2 huge salaries in Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams. Will they dump a 3rd contract in the form of Garrett Wilson to the mighty Pittsburgh Steelers? Stay tuned in.

Could be,but I bet he will be a great fit in Seattle. Cooper Kup is always injured and they can’t rely on him as he gets older.
He’s got 45 catches with Spencer Rattler as A Qb. Darnold will light him up and a 4th and 5th just might seem like nothing at all.
But he is in his last contract year. So this move is great for him personally.

unconfirmed rumor:

Olave to the Steelers for a 2026 2nd rounder and Connor Heyward.

seems high - the rumor and value
This would be a huge shock. Not getting Olave but giving up the 2nd round pick in Pittsburgh where a former Steelers player would be making the announcement.

Just thinking about Muth being a trade chip.
We’re not using him like we should and a team like the Packers who just lost their star TE.
Just have a feeling that he could be a trade chip.
Packers have a good young WR in Romeo Doubs that could help us and Muth could help the Packers.
Just a thought!

My gosh, whatever you are smoking must be great. It would take more than that to pry out MH jr...

He is only 23 years old and in his second year... he has 3 more years of control left on his contract after this... he had almost 900 yards as a rookie... and is on pace around that number again this year...
a rebuilding team doesnt need a win now pass catching te nor a couple of thirds for a first round talent...

I think friermuth has value, but not to them like thst
Especially since AZ already has McBride at TE.
