College Football Week 8

Arch is back to sucking again 8-21 for like 100yrds. Texas has 140 yrds w/ like 10 mins left but are still tied
 
If Drew Allar, erratic as he is, is playing this game, Penn State is winning in a blowout. The QB position is the only thing holding Penn State back right now. The defense is meh, but good enough so far.
 
At this point, I’m convinced Jim Knowles is a plant put here to bring this defense down. I’ve never seen a dominant defense neutered in the span of 7 games the way this one has. Holy ****.

Considering you also watch the Pittsburgh Steelers, this is quite the statement.

It took Tomlin a few years and a couple coordinators to neuter the Steelers defense. Jim Knowles did it in basically half a season. I’m not sure what the scheme is. The guy guesses wrong 80% of the time.
 
That last play was the perfect example. Defense suckered by the same play twice. Not even expecting it. Gronowski could have cartwheeled for a TD.

Seems like its the week for that.

I just didn't understand how Iowa had little to no chance of any passing attack, and the PSU D left the QB who rushed for 9 TDs this year, or whatever they said, run wild.

The timed blitzes killed the rookie PSU QB too.
 
I think ND will be highly overated in this weeks polls considering the upsets and top ten loses probably just outside the top ten. But they did have a bullshit season start with a rookie at qb and two tough opponents.
 
The D tee’d off on knowing Penn was going to run, even I could tell.

two screen passes could have been the difference, at the end.

Hind-sight is al;ways a luxury but, dang it was there for the pickiN.

And they still ran the ball pretty well. Well, Kaytron Allen did anyway. Penn State has a serious QB problem. He’s more mobile than Allar but that’s it. He looked like a raccoon that didn’t know which direction to run to get off the road half the game.

They have two big, tall white statues. They need to find a Mendoza type. Soon. It’s the way the sport is now. Pocket passers are a dying breed.

Sayin is taller than Drew Brees and an inch shorter than Mahomes. Hopefully he drops in 2027 because of his size. He’s the best QB in college football and he’s only played 7 games.

He played vanilla at OSU until he was overruled after the first Oregon game last year…was never a fan.
