4-1 who would have thought ??? We handled a pretty good defense against the brown. We will be taking on a much less formidable defense (i think 31 rank and a lower offense). Joe Burrow is missing but Joe Flacco is taking up some of the slack. Our defense can handle the Joe. I think our "D" will continue the relentless QB flustering and hits (16 QB hits @ cleve).
---It's our offense that will really rack up the points, provided they take this game seriously. Cincinnati's D just isn't very good (156 rush / 253 pass) and that should allow us to ultimately grind in TDs. Their star DE Hendrickson is likely to be out as well.

HOT Topic: Coaching
We have all seen and read an endless supply of the TOMLIN dislike / love. We have been on such a long dry spell that many think a winning season is near SB success. Our beloved Steelers have been mediocre for so long and for so many excuses, that most have lowered their expectation. Some have even wondered how much longer we endure the power of the Tomlin?
---- Many seasons we have started off strong only to fade the later part. to fail in the end. A lot of reasoning has been used (excuses) such as the defense wearing down or the offense not scoring enough. Scheme has been mentioned countless times but, we seem to be changing things up. The first three games we had just been finding ourselves. The last two have been a little eye opening.
---- Take the Minnesota Viking game, a formidable team. Some can say that maybe Rooney had a talk and suggested something to coach Tomlin. That may well be the case but Art2 doesn't meddle on the actual day to day coaching. I could see something to the effect of we need to do better, and some things need to be addressed differently than in the past.
---- The Cleveland Game was an extension from the Viking game, just a little bit more confidence instilled along the way. The change continues and shows something in-house has changed as well.
---- Some can say "We've seen this before, only to be bamboozled later in the season". That is a valid statement, but I see even a little more bit of change than in the past.
In the Cleveland game they (cleve) had 5 tackles for loss, 2 of those were the kneel down so ONLY 3 TFLs. Helmet swinger was held to only 2-assisted tackles, yeup that's right!!! NO sacks on Aaa-ron, ZERO / zilch / nota /goose egg..... OUR Offense controlled the ball (31:47) and compared to last year, that's impressive. We complete long ball / mid-ball / short ball as for passing and spread it around nicely. Our OL did a fantastic job for pass protection and rushing. Remember they were going against the #3 defense, and it worked well.
---- Tomlin on down, but remember it ALL goes through Coach Tomlin. You can see that the scheme has been changing, the adjustments are coming a little sooner than normal. Players are getting healthy and buying into this new line of thinking. If Rooney did turn the light on, Tomlin has followed suit to execute some change. I'm not giving Rooney credit but am assigning the credit where it belongs and that's to Mike Tomlin. How long can he sustain this new look is anyone's answer, how long before the stubbornness shows it's ugly face ?
----= Myself, I'm along for the ride and will fully enjoy the show. I will try to give credit to where it is due as well as criticism if deserved.
Keep this "change" happening.!!!

Shout out to speedicut, I lost the page & post number, but we can all agree he is special !!!!

THANK YOU to all who participate, and to slash for suppling the goodies.

Dry weight or wet weight, and does that have to do with yer all's hot chicks? And are all your leaves down? This is a trick question. Shiit i bet Saskaberry still has plenty of leaves on his birch trees.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it…
DIC u know as well as I who is fully responsible for this turnaround (my complete dedication to pessimism with every week’s picks 🤣) it sure ain’t Tomlin or Rooney, I alone without any help have cracked the code and accept all credit!!!

1) 15
2) zero for Aaron, that’s Rudy’s job, gotta save the old man’s knees…and only winners get victory play
3) 3.14 kg mmmmmmm hungry for some pie

Joe Flacco is Tomlin kryptonite. Flacco knows how to carve up Tomlin’s legendary defenses and with these two receivers, he should continue.
First downs 18
No victory formation for Rudy this week.
Six cubic meters.

Great post and just for the record, I don’t expect anyone to do the calculation, very few here have that ability (not pointing fingers at anyone specific)

The eye test and a guess.

I only showed how you can get a pretty close total weight with out using a scale. Use to have to do that in the old days, when selling hay stacks (not bails).

I'm thinking playoff time and Shades will turn into Marty Schottenheimer again but we'll see. Smith is being mentioned as a HC candidate so he may want to burnish his rep.

Normally Shades doesn't do well on short weeks but Cincy is just that bad plus they're playing at home.

It's a trick question. You didn't weigh those leaves. Nobody does. Besides that, when you were nearly finished a trailer trash chick stopped by to flirt with you. Cigarette hanging out of her mouth , red lipstick smeared around. She can't color and stay inside the lines. She sounds like Marge Simpsons sisters when she talks. It was enough to distract you " big time" as Miss Pei would say in her squeaky high pitched chinese lady voice.

I predict pain

I see you didn’t commit to which side………… great strategy !!!

I have “PRIME” so I’ll be watching the game very closely.

Keep an eye out as over 1/2 time I will be doing an experimental “AIR” drop to the sidelines of one of the teams……………

All new formula with uncharted results other than the normal “baboon” test…….. Free to a couple knuckle-draggers’ at the local bar. Monitored their actions / behavior…………. And surroundings results.

I’ll let you know the outcome-come, but realize it will be visually displayed by the actions of the team who gets the “drop”.

PS……… Did the precision “drop” work ok, our records show with in 3” of marker point. Did you notice the automatic billing process withdrawal, it was confirmed the day before the drop. Also the “FREE” interior package?

3. Would have to know the weather when weighed. lets guess 2 tons

I hate these trap games the young guys get to feeling all high and mighty the old guys think it’s a good time for a breather and everyone forgets to play football while the the other team comes out on fire playing for their paychecks. When I use to gamble on football games these were the games I’d look for! I hate these games I hate these games I hate these games! I just broke the spell I hope!! GoSteelers!

Thanks for all your great post(s) along the way stuntmanmike, but I have to pull a little different take on this.

This team has a little bit of hunger to it and it shows in the snap rotations. The defensive line last game (I’m going out of memory so close numbers) Harmmon 49 / Benton 50 / cam 46 / the rest 20’s. The lower players know that they have to get MAX out of their snaps so no lay low effort. Same goes for the TEs with Washington most / Juno / then Muth, they know to keep getting the snap counts they have to produce to their top level.

Muth had 20 snaps, you think he is going to waste his counts on being lazy, he wants to play so driving harder.

The OL is the only solid group that gets consistent snap counts and may be less affected by pressure to produce, but they are producing in a positive way.

Most other group rooms show the snap counts and affect and drive.

I see this as a difference than in the past and a coaching change in direction of playing time.
