College Football Week 7

Meanwhile, Indiana is bullying Oregon in their own house.

I can't figure out how this team took Oregon to OT.
The team has a lot of talent, they look like they quit. On top of that, the HC and QB are both mentally weak, especially when facing adversity.

Cignetti showing last year was not a fluke for Indiana. This team is the real deal and just clinched a very impressive road win in Oregon.

The team all came back thinking theyd waltz to the playoffs. They took UCLA lightly and when they lost, they quit on the season

Nah, I don’t buy that. They just aren’t very good. It’s that simple. Blame it on this guy or that guy, but they just aren’t very good in any phase of the game at this point.

I’ve watched quite a few of the Ducks games in the last few years. Firstly, they haven’t lost at home in ages. Secondly, they always have a great Offensive front protection.
Indiana’s front 7 kicked the **** out of the ducks today. That is very rare. A well deserved win, with two good teams playing. A team with a frontline like that can go a long way.

It sucks to be a fan of two teams with the same damn issue; two coaches who are consistently very good but not good enough to win big games.
Tomlin is head and shoulders better than Franklin. It isn’t close. He has won big games and consistently beat top rivals like the Ravens. He has won it all even if was a while ago. Franklin hasn’t won ****.

Penn State's roster was pretty loaded with the returning players and % of blue chips recruits on the roster--the highest of Franklin's career. The blue-chip ratio was also ranked 10th in the country. This team has talent and if you look at the teams ahead of them, they are all performing pretty well.

talk about officials changing the momentum of the game. I'm not an Auburn fan but this has been bullshit. someone needs fired

Franklin has to go. There's no way around it now. He looks completely checked out. I got a text after the game and it's a situation of somebody knows a guy who knows a guy...and he says Franklin is out and it will be announced in a few days. We'll see.

Drew Allar is out for the year and his career likely done. I feel horrible for this kid. He plays his heart out and has no help. Last year he had Warren. This year all he has is RB Kaytron Allen and they refuse to play him enough.

It's fitting that Allar had another INT in this game where his WR screwed him. He stopped running, turned toward Drew in the endzone, so Drew throws it as a comeback, then as Drew releases it, he runs to the back pylon and it's an easy INT. It sums up the offense this year.

The defense played better but that's because it was not possible to play worse than they did against UCLA. The defense is just too small up the middle. It's that simple. This is an inexcusable roster building mistake.

The offensive scheme is a joke. They routinely waste 1st down with some nonsense gimmick play. They tried to "feature" Kaytron Allen but that still only meant 16 carries. He's the spark on this offense and they put him on the sideline not because he's tired, but because it's the other guy's turn. What is this Little League?

Matt Canada looks like a genius compared to Kotalniki.

Whatever

Who will they go after as next coach?

Matt Ruhle - Nebraska HC and former Penn State player. NFL HC experience and is doing a good job building back Nebraska.

Lincoln Riley - if USC flames out again, maybe they part ways. Riley's teams are soft, but if they keep Knowles and let him build a defense, then this could work.

Lane Kiffin - maybe Lane figures it's easier to get to the playoffs without having to go through Bama and Georgia

Kenny Dillingham - HC Arizona State. He's young with tons of energy

Brian Hartline - OC and WR coach Ohio State. At least PSU would have some WRs. You could weaken OSU by taking a key coach.

He made a catastrophic mistake not declaring for the draft last year.
Seems like most of the college football experts were wrong too. The amount of articles I read before the season started that had him in the top 5 with many saying he would go #1 or two. Our very own Sarge has said for a couple years…..he just isn’t that good.
