He began serving a 4 day sentence.

If it were you or I, we'd be in for eternity.....................

It’s all about how much money you have for a good lawyer Drink.

Henry Ruggs was driving his Corvette at 156 mph, braked down to 127 MPH when he slammed into 23 year old Tina Tintor and her pet dog Max. Burning them to their death. Blood alcohol level at 2 times legal level.

Other charges were dismissed, including felony reckless driving, driving under the influence causing substantial injury to Ruggs' girlfriend, Je'nai Kilgo-Washington, and a misdemeanor gun charge. Police said they found a loaded handgun in Ruggs' demolished Corvette after the crash.

He spent 18 months under house arrest with many leaves while awaiting trial/sentencing.

He has spent under 3 years in Jail,as he was released early to a transition house.
His lawyer during trial was quoted
“This is the first step toward a fair resolution to this matter and we look forward to closure for all parties involved," Ruggs' attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, said in a statement handed to reporters.

Hmmm…I wonder how fair her family and friends / the general public think this is. Imagine that being your child.

Now this piece of **** is out,and during an interview was talking about how he’s been training in prison for his next NFL team.

Before Ruggs was released by the Raiders on the same day as the wreck occurred, the NFL team had paid the wide receiver $11.019 million, according to the sports financial website spotrac.com, with most of that in the signing bonus.

And no. He would not look good in the black and gold.

I hear yaz Steelmann, loud and clear.

These kind of people need to be disappeared.

Those lawyers only want their money, no conscience of the crime involved.

All we can do as people, is live our lives rightfully.

This incident and the light punishment are disgusting. The young woman killed, i.e., murdered in the accident burned to death. I cannot think of a worse way to die.

Spot on…

In California for my “first” DUI in 2009, I got 32 months & they sent me to a LIFER YARD…

No, I didn’t hurt anybody, but I did have a prior prison term & a strike. To keep his conviction rate percentage high the DA conveniently also charged me with felony evading.

I survived racial riots, watched countless fights/beatings, & was running laps on the yard when a Latino pedophile was shanked & killed by his own people, The Northern Ese’s…We were on lockdown for months…

By the grace of God, & some really good men of faith in my life, I haven’t been back since…

Being involved in the legal profession,I’m sure you have been involved,or can tell stories about cases that would make our heads spin. I sure don’t know the answer Steel. In one way I think,do you throw away the key of a 26 year old man for life? In a civilized society do we try to rehabilitate? The thought of Henry Ruggs signing a contract for millions makes me ill. And you know sure as **** someone will take a chance on him. Like I said above, imagine if she was your daughter.

I think sometimes many of us ( including me)are sheltered. We read about these accidents or shootings/crimes and we shake our head and turn the page. Or yap about it on some forum.
If you know the person or witness something like this it’s quite a bit different. Three weeks ago right close to where I was swimming they pulled a man out of the Pacific on a picture postcard day. Worked on him for 45 minutes, without going into detail,it was absolutely horrible. Especially when his wife and daughter showed up. Sure wasn’t no Hollywood movie. I think about it all the time. Then I think about what the first responders must see. Then I think about the state of the world and politicians who have never got their hands dirty in conflict threatening to send,or sending young people to combat. And it leads me to think about my father who was all of 6 years old when WW2 started, starved for 5 years and saw more deaths then children should see. Yep…..I am thinking too much and rambling on this rainy Wednesday in Vancouver.

Drink, his criminal charges were handled by a slick attorney, and a weak DA. But I will guarantee the civil suit brought to Ruggs by the girl’s family will dog him and his brief millions into bankruptcy for the rest of his life. OJ Simpson 2.0.

Absolutely Ike, that aspect will eventually get the justice the family seek.

I feel most deserve a second chance, but that second chance shouldn’t come with everyday freedoms of the innocent.

Someone ( @Black & Gold Bleeder ) has been worried about you...

Send him a hug and kiss, please.

Well, at one time the NFL took a star player involved in a killing at a SuperBowl and held him up on a pedestal as a virtuous leader of men. So it gets even harder to understand the concept of "legal fairness".

A-N-D yet, the Ben ROETHLISBERGER still gets blamed for everything. Even Steelers fans blame him for shitsz that has nothing to do with him.

Yes White Suit Ray did get a shoe shine from the shield, but after plea bargaining to a lesser charge of Obstruction and testifying against two of his “boys” (who both were acquitted), he lost some of his luster and wasn’t allowed to transition to the networks. Although Shannon Sharpe unfortunately took his place.

Rayray’s camera appeal wasn’t very good, the networks folded on him.

Definitely lost his luster and I’m still amazed at how so many forgave him for all that.

I don’t really see folks talk much about Lewis nowadays, except for die hard Ravens fans. In fact, more people talk glowing about Ed Reed, Ogden and Terrill Suggs than Lewis.

Although one of the best nicknames ever created on this board was born because of him (Stabbit’ Ray). Wish I could remember who coined it (BengalRulez?)
