Steelers/Bucs: My two and a half Nichols.

I watch it because I enjoy seeing how the young guys perform. Especially the draft picks and new free agents. For example, a guy like Beanie last year. Yeah, most of the time they're going to be going up against other backups, but if they dominate their opposition, chances are they'll make the team.
We’ve had an incredible summer here weather wise Top. The ocean for me is just down the road,so I busy myself with a swim and a paddle in the Kayak and a walk with the old pug most nights. Before I know it the old rain, wind and a bit of sleet will be happening for the next 7 months. As I get older the sun on the bones feels better and better. The 3 hour time difference makes a difference here. So I read about the game in here later rather than tying myself up in front of the boob tube. 🙂 I love watching football, especially when the weather outside is snarky where I live.

How’s junior doing? Exciting times coming up for you guys!

Hard to argue with that. But it still gets dark where you live, and you have access to DVR, right? lol

I don't get the preseason games live unless they are national telecasts (like this coming Thursday will be), so I just watched the game today when it finally aired on NFL Network. And, by the way, a big FU to that channel for scrolling the final score literally in the first minute of the replay...after I went through painstaking effort to NOT know the result for nearly two days prior. But I do enjoy them. I haven't missed a Steelers game, whether it be preseason or postseason, live or recorded, in probably 20+ years. There's so few of them compared to hockey or baseball, I still feel like I don't want to miss it.

He's doing well, thanks. Had a solid spring, a great start to fall camp, and has put on a bunch of good weight, but he's been dealing with a nagging minor injury over the past few weeks. They want to get him involved during the season in some capacity, but we'll have to see how it goes with his health regarding whether they decide to redshirt him or not.

Baldy disagrees, and I tend to trust his opinion over anyone here. Jaylen won’t be able to stay healthy and hold onto the rock long enough to be anything more than a change of pace back.

Baldy is a clown
Baldy was preaching to the world about Harris breaking out, right before Warren started taking half his carries. He also said Kenny Pickett was the most "pro ready QB" coming into the NFL.
He was also adamant on the Steelers need to sign Brandon Aiyuk for 30 million a season.
I had as many touchdowns as Brandon Aiyuk last season.

The game left me pondering two things, as you are right two games with so many players sitting is hard to gauge.

1 Is Wilson pushing for the spot opposite DK? It isn’t like Austin has brought a lot of confidence to that position. For me he has seemed better suited inside.

2 is Holcomb playing his way into staring opposite Patrick Q? I know they like Payton’s range but they originally picked up Cole to start. You have three dogs, two bones.
I think the Steelers look at ILB as two dogs, one bone. Queen already has his bone. Not too bad though. You've got a savvy vet who's coming off injury and a young athletic kid who has shown he can make plays. One of those good problems to have.
