I hope we can upgrade him to AAA Ron during the seasonI thinking Aaaa-Ron will be better than anyone in the QB room, my question is for how long. A 17 game season will take its toll on an old body wear down, injury or not.
I hope our QB guru will be sightful enough to when to make the change, if needed before its to late and becomes an emergency.
I also hope Arthur Smith is allowed to actually open the dang offense up past the 6th grade level.
Salute the nation
They won’t !!!!!!!
This will be interesting. If they give him #12 they are basically giving him the keys to the car. He is in another number, kinda says you doing it our way.

I don’t know whether to laugh or be angry.
Maybe that was the hold up all along. They won’t !!!!!!!

Tommy Maddox was also an insurance agentMaybe that was the hold up all along.
He’s going to be wearing 8.
He should be wearing 6.
He’s only half as good as Bradshaw.
?Tommy Maddox was also an insurance agent
He better not.Primanti sammich name......the Rogermelt.
There's a shitload of things that are stopping the Steelers from winning a SB, starting at the topRodgers stopped the Steelers from winning the Super Bowl, and he's ready to do it again!!
I meant that Discount Double Check A AA Ron has an alternate career in common with Maddox. Let's hope that his presence portends the next franchise QB!?
Rogers is?
Unless you mean Rogers will insure Tomlin against a losing season.
Pickett also wore 8.
Eight was chosen because it matched his hand size.
C’mon Berm. I know you are loyal. But there is no way in hell you don’t see that the Offensive Coaching philosophy of the Steelers has held back players from opening up in the QB position. Week in and week out. What Coryea stated was perfectly valid. Russ had that one game that showcased his talents….the game book opened up…..then bang….slammed shut. Never forget how absolutely horrible we have looked offensively in the last 5 years. This is absolutely crazy talk.
You do realize that teams get paid to prepare for upcoming opponents via scouting, watching film, etc...
The game plan CANNOT be the same every week against every team!
I really can't believe how anyone , who watches weekly, can consistently blame just the HC for a bad game.
Players play. Coaches coach...
Agreed Cincy was absolutely stupid in that game and didn't get inside pressure. Wilson thrives when he doesn't get flushed too early. When you bring middle pressure on him now, he is too slow to escape and can't use the middle. That formula worked against well late in the year against good teams. With Pickens being MIA for weeks we had no counter. This is absolutely crazy talk.

Gotta agree with this, every QB in the last 5-7 years, including KFP has been handcuffed with the 10 play, playbook.C’mon Berm. I know you are loyal. The amount of times we have had less than 5 first downs or 7 points in the first half. No quick hitting crossing routes. Rarely passes thrown in the 7-15 yard range. Slants? What slants. Middle? What middle.
Little 1-3 yard dump off passes. Throws well before the first down marker. That’s what we have lived on for the last 5 years including Ben’s last couple. I can’t for the life of me see how anyone would think that Tomlin hasn’t held the QB position Back.

Ben even said several times he couldn't audible and was forced to throw short of the sticks on 3rd down with Tomlin and Canada. It was a terrible situation for the QBs. Playing the defense and Tomlin taking away the rest of the field too.Gotta agree with this, every QB in the last 5-7 years, including KFP has been handcuffed with the 10 play, playbook.
I’m sure many have voiced their displeasures amongst themselves. There is a lot of money involved here. Only the very few voice their gripes publicly. And those that do want out regardless. I have said for years this is where QB’s or WR’s go to fade away. Draft choices have no choice. But give me a top WR or QB that has signed here in his prime. We get the retreads at the end for one more contract or the guys that have been disappointing so far,and are hoping for a resurrection in their career. Usually done on the cheap. You would think that the players would express their concerns if the play calling and schemes were as god awful as we perceive them to be.
They are not high school football players that just follow orders, but rather adults that should have some input…having played the game long enough to understand what works and what doesn’t.
If they see it like we see it, then they should really be pissed off too.
I don't know how anyone can argue against this contract13M is good!

ESPN sources: Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers was in the team’s training facility today to sign his one-year, $13.65 million contract that includes $10 million guaranteed and has a maximum value of $19.5 million. The deal includes $5.85 million worth of playtime and team performance incentives.
Not like they are breaking the bank for sure….I don't know how anyone can argue against this contract
I'll take that as far as the cap hit goes. Still don't think this will amount to anything other than a terrible pick in the 20's.13M is good!
