This is one of the reasons I want to see Rodgers play for the Steelers this year. Rodgers won't come without assurances that he will have a lot of say with the offense. It will be nice to have someone at QB not afraid to tell Tomlin no when he calls his typical sprint down the sidelines and throw it up call on 3rd and inches. With Rodgers, we might actually see some good play calls more often than not. Whether he can still execute at an all-star level is still to be determined.
I agree. Ben was a stud for a long time. Did he over exaggerate injuries on occasion, take too many sacks and not treat younger players on the team, especially QBs, like a father figure all the time? Yes. However, he's still one of the top two QBs in Steeler history and was wasted for a lot of his prime due to bad personnel moves and coaching.
