Shane Ray Arrested!

Do we really want guys that are this ******* stupid? The week of the draft and he's popped for possession. This seems to happen every year and these guys just don't get it how they potentially cost themselves big time money by being stupid.

Testing positive at the combine is incredibly stupid, but getting busted days before the draft, complete moron.

We are losing Diggy due to this crap, now he will be snatched earlier

Entitlement and arrogance combined with stupidity.

Yeah not like we have a great running back that would drive to a team plane smoking and driving, eh ? It is the culture these kids live in, most of them smoke weed.

Its not like I see it as a bad thing, hell I think alcohol and cigars are worse for your health but if its illegal and it could affect your future if caught then don't do it. So I have a problem with him for being so stupid, not for smoking weed per se

That nuance is lost on the idiocy that is Hanratty.

Pot's just as popular as alcohol it seems these days. It wouldn't surprise me is 75% or more of this whole draft class smokes weed.

Was he a DUI or just caught possessing?

Shane Ray is a stiff in this draft and highly overrated!

The link Berm provided just said possession. No DUI.

it's more of an intelligence test. Whether you think weed should be legal or not is irrelevant. It is not allowed and you only have to refrain for a few months during the draft process.

I don't have a problem with a guy who smokes weed occasionally. I have a problem with the guy who apparently MUST smoke weed even with millions on the line.

Definately not scholar material. But if he there in the 4/5 take him. Imagine the money we could save..........

he will be picked before the 3rd round is over

Maybe I meant 3 / 4, but my fingers typed 4/5. I hear yaz Litos, do we take him in the third if he still there?

75% smoke weed.

50% are dumb as rocks.

Let's not expect too much everyone....

I think so, double deep on OLB, let him heal from his surgery and it will be like having another rookie next season. I think he might be worth the wait in exchange for a 3rd rounder

You know that somewhere Marcus Peters is smiling. Dude's got to be thinking "I've kept myself out of trouble. Appeared to make amends at Washington. And don't have drug dings. These idiots are making me look better by the day." Just by laying low and not drawing unwanted attention to himself, he's got to be looking better to a team like the Steelers.

It's easy to debate with our aged wisdom how stupid it is for a young man celebrating the end of college and beginning of a professional sports career to get his car searched when pulled over for not being in the right lane.

Which, if it was enforced properly everywhere and to all the middle aged and older ******** on the highways would make me a much happier driver.

Sure he could have not had weed, banged cheerleaders, drank a little much or done a host of other things that college kids do all the ******* time, have done all teh time, and will continue to all teh ******* time.

He was smart enough to be clean when it counted.

He did not get arrested.

I got my car searched every time I got pulled over for BS when I was his age.

It's fishing, and it works.

You can agree to the search, or you can know your rights they will arrest you and search the car prior to tow,

I had that happen.

The BS arrest charges were unfounded and dropped. My buddies weed and bowl were charged at the maximum possible.

I bailed my car out once released, then bailed him out.

A little extra revenue.

Did I do stupid **** then?

Absolutely.

And I'm not idiotic enough to think that having even more to celebrate would have stopped me from doing it again.

Getting popped at a drug test you know is coming up is ******* stupid.

Getting popped on a BS traffic shakedown is a bad break in a young mans life.

The bolded part is absolutely true. He was cited for possession, not arrested. Which indicates a very small amount and no "rolling smoke" (i.e "Cheech & Chong" last summer). He also was not arrested for a DUI; indicating the officer did not suspect that he was impaired (?). What he received was less than a misdemeanor arrest. "Pay your fine son and move on."

He just possibly cost himself millions of dollars in his rookie contract if he falls. So the "Pay your fine son and move on." analogy is fitting because it is going to be one hell of a hit to his payday.
