Maybe there should be a social media led campaign to let Dookie know how people really feel. I think maybe send in to the Steelers front office some ping pong balls, since they don't weigh anything, and can't really be used for anything. They couldn't be used as a donation from the Steelers to some charity.

Send in at least 2 ping pong balls, with a note that says "We are sending in some balls, Since Art 2 doesn't have any".

Kind of like when fans of a cancelled TV show sent millions of peanuts to CBS.

You can get an 18 pack on Amazon for $3.99 with free shipping.

I just sent some, they actually had a package of 36 for $5.97 with free shipping.

Be sure to send them as a gift, with the message "We are sending in some balls, Since Art 2 doesn't have any"

I hope that others join me and they have to deal with millions of ping pong balls.

I hope this was the right address: 3400 S Water St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203

Maybe others can also post links to other Steeler message boards so they can be part of the protest too.

So if you have time, go google the Jim Rooney article on there are real rationales for playoff failures.
It’s a good read and after reading it will tell you exactly where this franchise sits today and what’s really important to the Rooney’s.
Jim Rooney is the brother of Art II,

Jim Rooney is the brother of Art II,
He actually blamed other teams for not hiring Steeler staff and coaches. They are certainly cultishly devoted to their insularity and doing things their way. He also views Tomlin as a big symbol of progress.

Sounded a lot like circling the wagons to me. Then again, what else would you expect from members of the family.

Season ticket wait list is still quite long

The biz has the money waiting to be spent

Nothing will change as they are already paid for decades

The only hope is Dan III takes over and wants to make his mark with a new coach or Tomlin goes to one of those cushy tv show gigs

It doesn’t embarrass them enough. It has to get media attention. I still think if the fanbase came together and payed for billboards and a plane with advertisements over the stadium it would be more effective.

The hardest thing is getting a huge fanbase to come together. As most of the disgruntled aren’t willing to do much if anything.

Probably impossible but.....If all the season ticket holders would pick a game to sell their tickets to the other team fans say like the Ravens......that would raise some eyebrows perhaps. Season ticket holders seem to be selling more and more as the years go on anyway. 🤪

And they stay relevant in the news cycle. If some of us rubes pull back, there are plenty to take their place.

You’re absolutely right embarrassment is really the only thing that would shake Rooney to act

“Fire Tomlin” needs to echo thru the stadium, like it did for “Fire Canada.” I could be wrong but don’t think the fans are too far away from doing it.

How long does it take to ruin a great brand?
We’re watching in real time

How many licks does it take to getting to the center of becoming the Browns?
We sure are and have been Tomlinized. It's clear fidelity to Tomlin as an ensign and continuity are their brand and the standard at this point. Easily the most boring team year after year.

I deon’t want to be the licker (Peyote use could help determine), but we are nearing being there.

NOTE: The fruit-cakes and recreational Peyote experiencers are the one’s I’m talking about. (YOU are safe Fiji)

Salute the nation

Per PFT the Bears were interested in Tomdim but the Steelers shot it down.

Proof both the Bears and the Steelers have absolutely no idea what they are doing.

I don’t know, that peanut campaign made the national news cycles big time, and that was long before Social Media influence really took off. A few thousand packages showing up is bound to be noticed, and an explanation would be required.

There's a post on Facebook that keeps reappearing in my feed asking Steeler fans whether Tomlin should be fired or retained.

In every case the response is at least 3 to 1 to fire his asss. I'm sure Rooney knows, just doesn't care.

Change.org has a couple dozen “Fire Mike Tomlin” petitions going. None with more than 1,300 signatures. How many signatures would be needed to get media attention?

Petitions are almost always worthless, as they can ignore any/all that they want. Now, having a thousand packages a day delivered makes it much harder to ignore the message, no matter how much you want to. It also draws many times more attention from media sources.

I guess the only way now is to let them wallow in what they've created and honestly it's better if the wheels come off as the Steelers are so enamored with Favorite Son Tomlin and his spell over them that they will never move on from him without a 4 or 5 win season or 2. Jim Rooney's comments revealed just how insular the franchise is to criticism. They honestly believe Tomlin is the solution and not the problem.

Gosh these other teams left yesterday and over the weekend are so much more exciting to watch -- especially Washington. They've got a great young QB and professional WRs. Who wants to watch another year of constipated and straining 18-16 football every week?

Perhaps the best way to draw Arts and the medias attention is for all fans to come to games with bags on their heads.
It would be a first for Steeler Nation.

I know it is drastic because we are nowhere near that level. We still win games.
Plus I don’t want to associate this team with others such as the Browns, Bengals and quite a few others who have gone that route.

But drastic times call for drastic measures.

After reading that, I have zero confidence things will get turned around the remainder of my lifetime. :(

The next guy that comes in will be hired most likely because he wasn't given the appropriate chance by other teams.

Qualifications be damned.

That’s exactly correct str8liner. The Rooney’s appear to be obsessed with fairness rather than qualifications. That was obvious when reading that article.
I believe in giving minorities an opportunity to be hired but if not the best qualified please don’t hire them strictly on being a minority.
That’s basically what he said about hiring Kahn. Jim Rooney said no one would give him a chance.
I would hope he was hired because you thought he was the most qualified but the tone seems to suggest different.

It's hard to know with Kahn: How much are the decisions just his and how many are a creation of Art and Fraudlin? Does Kahn really have the reign of the whole show? It seems on matters of hiring staff he has inherited Art's cheapness flair. Madden just wrote a piece on how the recent decisions showcase the cheapness of Rooney. Do they not still employ the smallest coaching staff in the NFL? Smallest scouting dept? Or does Mike Brown still own that distinction? For the longest while he didn't even have a scouting dept? Anyhow, the Rooneys are infamous for for treating dimes like manhole covers when it comes to coaching and scouting depts. Other than paying Fraudlin an inappropriate absurd amount of $, other coaches are reportedly hired at the cheapest levels.

I think it's simple, Art is afraid to fire Tomlin because the Rooney rule is named after his family.
