Coolie probably already started a conversation on this in another thread, but I have to wish this kid all the luck in getting healthy from that injury to just walk again. Forget about football right now. Dislocated knee, with multiple micro fractures around the joint. Not to mention Torn ACL, possible PCL rupture with major arterial involvement. The arterial issue was the major item trainers/med staff were working on the field to rule out its priority. Dell’s rehab will be pretty extensive and really hope there is no nerve damage. Can’t off the top of my head recall a leg injury that brutal. In my mind it was worse when LT broke Theismann’s leg.

yeah it is a terrible injury

for a guy whose game depends on his quickness this could be the beginning of the end

two seasons two fluke injuries knock him out

last year he runs in from the outside to try and block on a goal line play and gets rolled up in the pile

this season his teammate loses their balance and dives and crushes his knee as his foot is grabbed by the defender

I still don't see how he held onto that pass when he knew his leg was severly injured. he completes the catch and grabs his knee with just one hand instead of both as most peple would do.

he has a lot of heart and is obviously loved by his teammates so hopefully he can get his surgery and start the rehab and return to the game at close to the same level

Hope the young man is able to have a full recovery, but it seems like a tough road in front of him. It'd be great to see him come back and get a second contract.

Seems like Marcus Lattimore's 2nd injury at South Carolina was really bad like that IIR. And similar outpouring from opposing team with the Vols.

I think about Sean Spence with this one. Lots of guys get non contact also etc. When the knee is completely shredded it's usually time to get along with life's work. All the best Tank Dell.

Have to tip the 🎩 to Sask on this one. Close reminder of Tank’s injury although not as gruesome. Spence’s injury was severe becaise of the nerve damage he suffered. I remember the great John Norwood being interviewed about Spence’s driven rehabilitation and how the surgeon who put his knee back together had stated when he opened it up “it looked like a bomb exploded behind the knee cap with collateral damage everywhere. It was a miracle he was able to get back on the field, albeit for only a short period.
