If you haven’t watched “Clarkson’s Farm” on Prime, you should.
Agree, but the problem I have with that is the Dems are lot more organized and unified and I'm afraid they'll get everything they want and the GOP will squabble among themselves and won't get jack ****.I still hold out hope for a constitutional convention of the states. The list of **** that needs addressed keeps growing. At the top of it is term limits, dismantling three letter agencies,no insider trading, yearly audits, massive federal government downsizing, a balanced budget ammendment.

Steelr4ever,
While the idea of a Constitutional convention has great appeal, and your issues are real and significant, I just don't see a path to that happening.
You correctly point out that California would have the same "say" as Montana.....so why would CA, or NY, or TX, or FL, etc. ever want to do that?
And Burgundy points out that the agenda will be set by many inputs, not just the core American Constitutional values.
Lastly, there would need to a compelling reason for this even to get traction. In spite of all the **** for the past two or three generations, no large voices, including Trump, are even speaking about this.
My head says the stains/bungles are likely to win a SB before this happens.....
The Dims don't give a **** about American Constitutional values, they just want what they want.*And Burgundy points out that the agenda will be set by many inputs, not just the core American Constitutional values.

They will get things like "free" healthcare and housing but not a chance in hell the Pubbies get a balanced budget amendment.
* SCOTUS: "Joe, you can't unilaterally forgive student loans. That is spending and the Constitution says it has to be approved by the House."
Joe: "**** you, half of you were appointed by Republicans therefore your opinion is invalid. Imma do it anyway. Who's gonna stop me?"
Yep, when was the last one?![]()
Convention of States Action
Article V offers the only constitutional solution as big as the problem. Together, we can end federal overreach.conventionofstates.com
Under Article V of the U.S. Constitution, Congress is required to hold a constitutional convention if two-thirds of state legislatures (34 states) call for one.
There's your path. But you're right nobody will do **** until it's too late.
At least 30 years now....And they will continue to whatever they want because they can. There's zero accountability when the law doesn't apply to you.
The sky is the limit. They convince their little followers the cause is so noble, that the law must be broken to save the country from evil Trump. You're right, they don't give two ***** about the constitution or the country.
We've watched 8 years of it now.
You could actually go back to President Kennedy. At least 30 years now....
1787. I'd say we're long overdue. It would either put us on the road to fixing things or a breakup.Yep, when was the last one?
yep.....which states are calling for the Constitutional Convention now?1787. I'd say we're long overdue. It would either put us on the road to fixing things or a breakup.
You know what's worse? Doing absolutely nothing. Which is the most likely scenario. Unfortunately we don't have men like Franklin, Washington and Jefferson around anymore.
I believe they had 19 states the last time I checked. It appears to have stalled over the last few years. Which isn't surprising considering how it's being attacked by both main political parties.yep.....which states are calling for the Constitutional Convention now?

It got heated up with Woodrow Wilson. Lotta mischief going on in 1913.You could actually go back to President Kennedy.
I was meaning government agencies being weaponized against American citizens and poltical dissenters. It got heated up with Woodrow Wilson. Lotta mischief going on in 1913.
1. Creation of the Federal Reserve Bank.
2. 16th Amendment creating the Federal Income Tax.
3. 17th Amendment, Senators elected by the popular vote instead of their state legislatures.
President Wilson had previously been the president of Princeton University and this was the beginning of the bureaucratic state where the smart people who went to the right schools would move into the government and tell you how to run your life instead of things being voted on by Congress.
Is there an organized effort for this......who is they, and when was this forwarded? I have seen almost nothing on this topic, except in these forums....just seems a fanciful idea with no real basis?I believe they had 19 states the last time I checked. Woodrow Wilson did that too.I was meaning government agencies being weaponized against American citizens and poltical dissenters.
