"We apologize for the egregious mistake in a trivia card printing from the latest edition. The American Sports category includes a card that asks 'What disgraced athlete was stripped of his titles after numerous cheating scandals and implications?"
Apparently the question has not been stated clearly enough. It is meant to refer to Lance Armstrong who was implicated in doping scandals and was subsequently stripped of his Tour-de-France titles. However it has been brought to our attention that hundreds, perhaps thousands of New England area residents have threatened suicide due to their misinterpretation of the question. The makers of Trivial Pursuit have no official position on any 'athlete(s)' in the New England area and they do not care to comment directly on the various cheating scandals surrounding said 'athlete(s)'.
However, enough people have answered the above question with "Tom Brady" that the makers of Trival Pursuit feel that it is necessary to add an addendum answer to the question above making "Tom Brady" an answer acceptable enough to allow the person answering to draw another card. (In truth, Tom Brady has merely been disgraced, he has NOT had his titles stripped, merely his dignity.)"
** NOT from the makers of Trival Pursuit.
If you missed that, I can't help you, your sarcasm detector is completely useless.
