ILB Solution

I watched Minkah's post-game and he acts like his hand isn't an issue but is casted up. I can't imagine playing this game with a broken hand at his position - at least effectively, but maybe he can. I'm not sure what to think actually....rest it up in case of the playoffs and not aggravate the injury?

Why in heavens name are there so many damn injuries? I'm tired of this s h i t. Every ******* i n g week someone gets injured.
I don't follow college ball. Do they have the same s h i t going on?

Ocean's Eleven last night.

The one with Pitt and Clooney.

Better than I thought it would be.
Coming back from under a rock? That movie's been out for a long while

Not keeping Tanner Muse is really kicking us in the butt right now. I hate it when we keep guys like Miles Boykin or Anthony McFarland. If you can't be a contributor on special teams and a decent backup get on the practice squad.
Tanner Muse has 1 Tackle through 11 games this season.

The only people kicked in the butt by Tanner's absence on a roster are those who live in the Tanner Muse house.

3 starting LBs injured, your rover Safety down too. There was good FO work done there regarding depth, this is just too much bad luck.

Additionally, what's the max penalty for a player just flat out leveling an official? Could always get a practice squad scrub nobody, put em on the field for one play, and just flat out level an official in the middle of a play. So they eject the guy and fine him, make the contract high enough no one cares, and then just let the NFL know, hey, he's learning, what do you expect? I'm just tired of watching everyone tiptoe around these guys like they are gold, when they have sucked for at least 15 years.

Joe
Didn’t work out well for the pitcher and catcher that intentionally drilled the umpire during a baseball game.

With a broken hand??
if hes already playing this box safety , hes already making tackles. We need coverage from the MLB position,,, not a thumper. We have other safeties who can carry the load at DB. Miles Jack is off the couch and Martinez ,,, where has he been. ? I just think it makes more sense to let minkah QB the defense at the dime LB or nickel or whatever hybbrid.

Do you think belechick has forgotten how he abused our defense in the past using gronk in the middle.?

He hasn't played a defensive snap and he is predominantly a blocker on special teams. ;)

Exactly, if he were an asset in Defense he would be playing
I am not saying he was BETTER than Holcomb, Roberts, Alexander or Robinson. I am saying he was a bigger asset than the likes of Anthony McFarland who could have easily been stashed on the PS as an emergency backup RB. Mark Robinson had 4 special team snaps going into week ten. 4. Is he not an asset on defense? He wasn't the first 3 months but he was a depth piece. Tanner Muse would have been a depth piece. He wouldn't have dressed until after the injury bug hit our ILB core. But when he did he would have had special teams ability. McFarland doesn't have any special teams ability besides being a very bad kick returner. I would rather us just take it from the 25 every time than have him return a kick. Hell, Tanner Muse and fair catch a kickoff.

here's what we should do:

Plug Spencer Anderson in at C. Sure, he's not played there this season, but Mason Cole's not exactly opening holes there.

As for Cole - THERE is your new ILB. Why? he's proven he can clog the middle, knows how to provide massive pressure on the QB and force turnovers.

problem. solved.

Supe for GM.

I don't know why you're bringing McFarland to the conversation, should we have gone with just 2 RBs?

Because my original post said us keeping Miles Boykin or Anthony McFarland over Tanner Muse was a mistake.

Isn't boykin crucial in punt coverage and punt blocking?
Regarding McFarland, we need a 3rd rb in case of injuries

Boykin couldn’t catch crabs in a whorehouse. Boykin contributes nothing in the passing game.

Heyward can be the emergency #3 rb and you stash another or two on the PS.

Tanner Muse wasnt a big drop off from our starters and would be a huge upgrade vs Robinson and walker in pass coverage.

If he weren't a big drop off why isn't he playing at all on D?

I really disagree with going a full season with Heyward as your 3rd RB.

He’s the game #3 right now. McFarland is almost always inactive. So nothing changes. The difference is when McFarland is active he contributes nothing on special teams to go along with his nothing on offense. Boykin at least gives you special teams contributions. But muse would be able to contribute as a special teams guy and now as a starter due to injuries.
