Per post gazette.

I know some might not care but some fans enjoy going to events. So here is a possible one to keep an eye out for.

They had better start building Hotels, it's hard enough to get a hotel dahntahn when the Steelers and Pens play the same weekend let alone a freaking draft.
Oh they are. They have been building extra hotels for quite some time.

I would definitely stay out of the downtown area during that event. Can you imagine an extra 40K people or more trying to merge into the correct lane, squeeze over to the right/left all the way from 4 lanes over to hit the right exit within a 1/2 a mile of entering the freeway, going in circles looking for a parking lot that isn't full anywhere near their destination? I mean the traffic patterns alone will have folks going crazy. lol

Add the always ongoing construction (it never ends ever) and yeah it wouldn't be pleasant. Not overly pleasant now every time I drive down, which I will be doing soon for a Transiberian concert. If you do go you better have some Guns n Roses with you.

Just a little patience....yeah yeah.

I agree it would be comical. Sometime after Pittsbugh was formed they went with grids like in columbus and west. (i think anyway) but witht the rivers and the terrain,,, i dont think it was possible in Pittsburgh.

Wonder where it would be held? I guess i better read the whole article. Is the syria mosque still there? Stanley theater?

I'll stay in Monroeville and take the damn bus into the city. I'll pack a lunch as well...North Shore restaurants won't have a seat to be had. Plop dahn at the point fountain and eat my jumbo sammich alongsides my black n gold people.

They stated it would be held between Stage A&E and Acrisure but not inside the stadium. Stage A&E is buit for it but not the capacity as it only holds a bit over 5,000 for outdoor events. If they spent the money I assume they could expand its capacity temporarily but I've never been inside that venue and if the seating is at an incline front to back, that's problematic and expensive.

Parking and driving will be a nightmare. Many local streets will close with expanded entertainment including the new indoor outdoor beer garden/entertainment venue the pirates are building outside PNC Park.

Unless you walk from downtown and north shore hotels, shuttles would need to be provided by hotels outside walking distance with designated through ways for drop off and loading. If anyone remembers Nashville, the entire main drag was a sea of humanity, I couldn't even imagine being anywhere down town in a vehicle during that event.

What we should do it steal the ******* HOF ceremony in 2027… Canton doesn’t deserve that, and ben goes in that year… get the draft and steal the HOF ceremony… western pa owns football anyway… make it official 🤣

Nay--stay in Harmerville..much closer to town, especially if your taking a PAT bus into town..

But back in the day of Mayor Tom Murphy, the feds wanted to install a true loop around the city like most others have, to drastically cut down on traffic through the city… and that dunderhead screamed bloody murder about it killing downtown shopping and other complete nonsense and opted not to do it… so instead we have The traffic nightmare i have to fight through every time I am working in our Cranberry township shop🤦🏻‍♂️

Why would the number of visitors be much different than a home game?
