Anybody see us grabbing Jacoby Jones as our return guy? And backup to backup reciever. Gee we might have to cut our other return guy,and backup to backup running back. Only if he was cheap of course.
I find this interesting that ESPN just reported this after Colbert said it when speaking with the media. The Steelers are not being shy about saying they'll allow Worilds to hit the FA market. Add that in with their restructures, which few listed as ways to save cap room has me wondering what they're up to. They still have some veterans they can cut like Keisel, Moore and Thomas. Polamalu could get cut or reduce his pay. Ben's new contract could free up space. Are the Steelers actually planning on making a play for a FA or is it all normal operating procedure?
As all the updates kept coming in about restructures I was wondering the same thing. Does anyone think that with the lack of production with our OLB's a push for Houston could be coming? Also what does everyone think about spending most of our money on him, yeah we fix the OLB problem but would we have money left for our other needs?
Miami is looking to off load Mike Wallace. Big surprise there..."young $$"!
According to the report, the team is seeking a trade because of his lack of production and his poor chemistry in the locker room with teammates and coaches.
What a D-bag. I hope he ends up in Cleveland.
if there is a god in heaven, then it will be Houston.Seems to me that they have an FA target in mind and know about what it will take to sign him. That target may be Worilds. I'd bet my acquaintance with Supe that it ain't Houston.
Hearing Ngata may get released from the Rats if they can't restructure his deal. Interesting developments out there. Our losses are minimal at best should we cut Moore & Cam Thomas. Addition by subtraction. Question, do we get a comp pick for Worilds if he signs elsewhere?

Didn't know if Worilds qualified for comp pick next year because he signed the transition tag last year. Understand that the comp picks are based off who we lose v who we sign and the $$, etc.
I would like for the Steelers to look at Jacoby Jones, if nothing else than as a kick returner. Outside of AB, our returners blew. Jones would be a decent receiver if needed, as well.
Miami will pay the price for the stupidity of that absurd contract. Doubt any other team will absorb that. Wallace thrived off of Ben's arm, along with AB, Sanders and Miller attracting attention on the underneath routes. Unlike a Megatron or Fitzgerald type, he has to play in an environment where he has a perfect surrounding cast making him not worth the price the Dolphins payed him.

Tate is already here and can do everything that the proposed names can. Vereen and Helu are interesting options as well...but I wouldn't spend unnecessary money when we haven't even given Tate a chance.
The Steelers freed up a nice chunk of change yesterday or day before I can't remember exactly when, regardless, what if they let worilds walk and try to sign both McPhee and Sheard? McPhee had the same number of sacks as Worilds playing substantially less snaps because he was behind Dumervil and Suggs, while Worilds was a full time starter. Sheard should come in and push Jones immediately and you weaken two division rivals in the process.
Papillon
The contract is an albatross, no doubt. Wallace made out like a bandit- Good for him.
But maybe Wallace hasn't looked all that great because- Ryan Tannehill is a sucky QB? Has that crossed your mind?
Cut Moore and bring in Jones? At least we know he knows how to dance down the sideline during returns. Would be interesting if they did that. It would raise the Archer thread from the ashes. Like the Falcons did with Hester, I think its valuable to have a good return guy and Jones is definitely a good return guy. Plus it takes AB off punt return duty.
[/QUOTE]The Chiefs need to re-sign Houston and drafted Dee Ford recently. They need to save $$$. If they cut Tamba Hali loose he could be a nice, cheaper option than Worlds.
While TAS sits in a corner mad at the world because Coach Tomlin and the FO succeeded during free agency...
