State the player and why he isn't worth the value at 1.22:

Maxx Williams

Known as a pass catching tight end, but route running is below par and speed is average at best. No where near the size nor speed of Gronk/Graham/V.Davis. Those guys are physical specimen that are difficult for any LB or safety to cover- Maxx is not.

Here is my issue- a lot of us were clamoring for a fresh TE b/c we needed another big bodied receiver. It appears that we have that in Bryant. Our TE's are now essentially utilized to block, while catching the occasional dump off. So I struggle to see the NEED to draft a TE that high just for that responsibility- unless that TE happens to be Graham or Gronk.

Feel free to add...

I suspect 2015 will be Heath's last season in black and gold (or at least his last season as a truly effective starter for us). So if you can get the next Heath Miller at #22, I'd take it, even if the guy doesn't have the upside as a receiver of Gronk or Graham. But you'd like to be able to drop 5-10 spots and still get him. I still think we need a TE who can threaten the middle of the field and be a good red zone target.

My please don't draft is anyone who plays NT. I think we're fine with McClendon and McCullers.

Please, please, PLEASE do not draft Landon Collins.

I know the kids looks the part, I know he's big and fast and impressive as hell..and yeah, I know he played at Alabama.

Did you see Bama's secondary? they got TORCHED by Auburn and Ohio State. Auburn has a converted DB playing quarterback and Ohio State was on their 3rd string guy. Hell, the only team that didn't throw on Alabama was Florida...who couldn't throw against Central Catholic high school.

DON'T DO IT...

Don't draft the smallest/fastest guy in round one. Half the board will leave...

Please, please don't draft some guy named Jarvis Jones. He's undersized, weak, slow, a history of back problems and already two years older than his draft class. Oh ****, we already did draft him and at what, the 15'th slot in the first round. Tells you what confidence I have in Tomlin/Colbert drafts. Book still out on Shazier. We'll see.

Running back was the easy choice. You don't draft a back in the first round when you have Le'Veon Bell.

Maxx Williams is a redshirt sophomore. He has a lot to learn. Minnesota doesn't pass much either. If the knock on Williams is that he may never be Gronk or Graham, then when would one ever draft a TE?

Let's not forget, Gronk and Graham weren't Gronk and Graham when they were drafted. They weren't 1st rounders.

I think the steelers could simply end up with Williams. It's not hard to imagine the top pass rushers and CBs off the board by the steelers pick, leaving Williams or a WR as the best player available.

I agree. Collins looks like a LB. The Steelers have safeties who can hit. They need one who can cover and Collins struggled in coverage. He's just the best of a very bad crop of Safeties.

Of the options above i'd have to go with RB. RB is really deep in this draft and unlike Maxx Williams, who is clearly the best TE prospect, i don't think there's any one RB who stands alone. There's at least 10 RBs i'd be very happy to have as a backup for Bell

I hear you- but what if it comes down to Melvin Gordon or Maxx Williams? Melvin would be BPA of the two, and RB is a need.

My point is this- if Heath goes down, I think the offense can survive. We have weapons in the passing game, and Spaeth or someone else can handle blocking duties. If Bell goes down? Well, we saw the result.

I just think a solid running game is infinitely more important to us than having a receiving TE.

then there's my vote!

He or she (I'm not familiar enough with everyone) didn't say which half would leave. ;)

Oh, and don't draft the tight end, the Steelers don't play offense the way you would use a guy like Williams. Although drafting a running back would be equally crazy there really hasn't been any talk of drafting a RB so it doesn't seem that there needs to be any begging to not draft a RB.

It's looks like slim pickings at 22 maybe trade out of the first stock pile for next year give Thomas shazier jones and jones a year to prove themselves, pick up a second and third pass rusher and or a db that falls out of the top... I don't know, but one thing I do know, we need another mediocre lower first round draft pick like kim kardashian needs another *** cheek.

I agree as well, but the guy I want the least in round one is PJ WIlliams. He's on the slow side, gave up a lot of big plays in college, and had few plays on the ball.

Please no Landon Collins he will be another mark Barron

If we draft Collins my head will explode. Think about this - It would mean they watched him play and decided that they wanted a safety in first round who drops INTs and specialized in getting beaten over the top. You have seen it and I have seen it.

Then again, they watched Jarvis Jones and decided that a small, slow, LB that was not even a top 5 player on his own team was a first round pick.................damn, I guess we are drafting Collins.
