Years ago my dad and I went to a game in Pittsburgh. Kind of a big deal being from Montana. We don't get over there very often as you can imagine.
Anyway, we went to a sports museum in town because they were having a new Steeler exhibit open up. We walk in and Dan Rooney is there probably to open up the exhibit or something.
I tell my dad hey look that's Dan Rooney. Dad says "You should go up and meet him." I said "No. I can't do that. That's Dan Rooney."
Dad walks up to Dan Rooney and said "Hello, Mr. Rooney. My name is Jack Wigen and this is my son Gregg and he's about the biggest Steeler fan in Montana that you'll ever meet."
Dan looked over and he said "Where are you from son?" I said I'm from Butte, Montana sir. He says, "Butte! Good Irish town, been there myself. Good to meet you, and nice to meet you Jack."
He shook our hands and it was an amazing experience.
