I think it’s because they all have jobs with the government. And many of their parents as well.
They all have the pensions, the big benefits tons of job security. They think this is the only way. Sure would be interesting to see them as a self employed individual.

I have no data to support (never checked actually) and IMHO...I think the steady increase of marijuana use since the 60's is directly proportionate to the percentage of gay and lesbians in the united states over the past 50-60 years...
To clarify further--I feel if parents were moderate to heavy marijuana users, that somehow translates to a higher chance of having a gay son or daughter..
