Michael Oher Released

In years gone by we have had players that were great on the offensive line. I do not believe we have any that are great on our line now. Pouncey is not that great compared to what we have had in the past, Mullins, Webster, Dawson, Hartings. Any of them in their prime are an upgrade. Faneca is a huge upgrade at guard over anyone we have had since. Maybe the guys we have can improve but they have not been impressive to say the least. The Ravens did everything but take their lunch money the last time they played them, they looked bad.

There are lots of high draft picks on that line and the production does not seem to match.

Exactly right. The rats bullied them all game long.

Adams was horrible last year and this year. He almost got Ben killed at LT last year and was benched 4 games into the year and then starting playing TE. This year he graded out terribly even though the didn't allow many sacks. The Steelers turned into a left dominant team when he started RT. They couldn't run behind him and he got a lot of help in pass protection. Hell they even stopped rolling Ben to the right because he was so bad. A right handed QB having to roll left because Adams was so horrible.

Well, I feel better now. During the season, i would be bitchin' about Adams and get all kinda backlash. Glad to see I wasn't just suffering from a delusional disorder again. He sucks big time and he wandered off from the promise he made to get here in the first place.

During the meeting Colbert, coach Mike Tomlin and owner Art Rooney II outlined the criteria Adams needed to meet if he wanted any shot at being picked by the team he rooted for while growing up in western Pennsylvania.

Consider it done.

Convinced Adams wants to turn his life around, the Steelers selected him in the second round on Friday with the 56th overall pick in the draft. While acknowledging Adams' checkered past — he missed five games last season while serving an NCAA suspension for receiving improper benefits — the Steelers also believe he's sincerely trying to clean up his act.

"We didn't call him, he called us," Colbert said. "Had he not called us, this may not have occurred."

To me, we reached way too far to even consider him. Didn't take all that long for him to dig up some trouble and he sure as hell hasn't lived up to his high drat pick potential either.

I don't have a problem that he was out late and drunk and got stabbed on the South Side. That can happen. I have a problem that he was picked in the second round and sucks as an OL.

I wouldn't either if he hadn't gone out of his way to beg AR11 to pick him on the promise that he would be "completely reformed " and wouldn't be any trouble. Jus how many times you been stabbed when you was out late drinkin' Jon ?

None, but then I can't stay up that late any more at my age either. Adams, you know, 350 lb guys need their sammiches and beer to keep their strength up.
I hear you though. I say cut his sorry *** this year, and Gilbert too.

i would have rather had incognito's lunatic ***

Most people just look at sack stats and think he must have played great. Having him in there changed the way the entire offense played. If you just watched him (I record the games and go back and watch individual players) you can see he struggled just to hang on most of the time. They used Miller, Spaeth, or a RB to help almost every play. When they didn't help it was a quick hitter or a play to the left. Adams was useless last year and this year.

certain places carry a higher risk than others

not that he still didn't help contribute on however it went down.

I don't want both RTs gone this year. But if one is brought in and beats out Adams I wouldn't be upset with his departure................

Agreed. You need crazy on the OL....I'd take that anyday over the soft ******* we have in Gilbert, Adams, and even Foster.
