He's from Arizona State. Anyone know anything about or why they chose him over other candidates?

Rumor is he gave Tomlin’s nephew his first lawn mowing job

Also knows that x,y and z are all letters of the alphabet but not quite sure how that relates to WRs

So you see he’s way over qualified

He will replace Canada after the season. He lacks any significant nfl experience...same as Canada.
Leadership here seems to like the "diamond in the rough" story. Hire enough "roughs" and you might just find a diamond.

When I saw the story this morning, I'm sorry, but my first response was, "Who?" Even reading up on him, he seems like O'Canada 2.0. Maybe I'm way off and hope that I am.

Was it a riding mower?
Of course they obviously want varsity mowers that can cut every blade of grass, done in such a proficient manner that there is time to paint the barn while doubling back to the lab.

Hmmm? Interesting twist of events here....
I wonder if Canada was on board with this?

That’s a great wonder and I sure as hell wouldn’t want to upset Mr.Canada in any way………

Salute the nation

Does he have the pedigree?

If he spent three seasons as QB coach at Atlanta, i can only hope it was while Shannahan was there and he picked up at least an inkling of how to use your personel and give your qb the ability to utilize his strengths.

Did they interview minority candidates as well?

You guy's on here crack me up! You compline because we don't hire someone and then when we do........if it's not someone you wanted or some big name he automatically is worthless as a coach. Gezzzz give the guy some sort of chance before you bash him or the front office for hiring him. How do you think these big names got their chance????? a lot of them came out of the college ranks. I am not saying he's going going to be great, but can we at least give him a chance before we label him no good.

Thanks for the link.

Who the hell is Glenn Thomas??? His resume is, er, crap...is Cooch available???
He is very busy with ten second YouTube's, combine 40yard dash lists, and taking footnotes from WalterFootball. In between licking windows, I am not sure he has the time.

Does he have the pedigree?
Well digging he has a Kenny connection. So that is interesting.... He originally committed to Temple then decommitted and went to Pitt. Thomas was at Temple then...

Seven seasons in the NFL is seven more seasons than Canada had when he was hired. Unfortunately, his time with the Falcons did not overlap the Shanahan era. However, he was the QB coach two of the four times that Ryan was selected to the Pro Bowl (yeah, I know). On the plus side, he kinda looks like Pittsburgh Dad (Maybe they made a mistake and thought that was who they were hiring).
