I'm liking this move Supe! Always a big fan of Bud and think he would most definitely fill a huge void as a backup OLB and spot starter if someone goes down for a while. I like it! Lets get Bad Bud signed and back home where he belongs providing he can pass our physical..

I am all in for 3 above the line NFL caliber OLB's..
Count me all in on the Bud!

Bud’s $$$coin$$$ will be directly relevant to my happiness. The more compliant the less G-strings.

I'm thinking in the 4-6 million range would work. Highsmith will probably be offered around $10-12 million. I can't see them going higher than that with Watt taking in $25 million plus in cap hit.

I think we need young, capable blood. But I know the Homer's love bud. Remember he sucked for 2 years on the left, they moved him to right and he played well in his contract year.

MOST here realize BUD isn’t coming back here and playing in his “prime” play of career. Most here feel BUD is a great back up role to a GREAT pair of OLBs that we have.

If he can be had for a reasonable price, it is a sure fire grab for a needed role.

AND

For the record, you couldn’t ask for a better teammate. Bud was always a great locker room presence, worked HARD, no social life disturbance, attended meeting on time and a hell of a nice guy to boot.

Price is right, it’s a WIN in all aspects.

I don't like this move Bud really struggled after he left here and had injury trouble. Not sure what he brings to the table at this point in his career. We should be able to find a cheaper alternative

Listened to the Ramon Foster show the other day. Foster covers the Titans for local radio. His opinion was that TN rushed Bud back from injuries based on the $$$ he signed for and that once Bud was allowed to rest/recover his play picked up. Not saying it will work out here. But, as a 3rd, rotational OLB who will see maybe 20 - 25 snaps a game? I don't see anybody out there in FA who: 1) is demonstrably better than Bud. 2) knows the system and 3) will not be crying for a trade once they realize what their actual role is.

If Bud has recovered, and not lost a step, this seems like a good fit and helpful if Highsmith negotiations do not work out.

The Steelers should have the whole book on Bud then vs now; they must have the most informed data on this former player.

**** putting him on the outside or using him as depth.

put his *** in the middle - have three pass rushing specialists.
