Ok, so Marshawn Lynch is fined $20 K for grabbing his schlong as he goes into the endzone backwards.

What no one is talking about is why was there no flag on the play for taunting / unsportsmanlike conduct? The touchdown should have been called back, points taken off the board, and 15 yards enforced. The game would have ended totally different and the Packers would be in the Super Bowl.

Remember in 2012 against the Redskins anyone?? Antonio Brown runs backwards 20 yards into the end zone and is flagged for taunting / unsportsmanlike conduct. Touchdown comes off the board, penalty enforced. Steelers get ******.
Maybe if Antonio has grabbed his junk as he crossed the goal line, it would have been overlooked?

The INCONSISTENCY in officiating is ******* absurd.

Word on the radio (I didn't see the game) was that he grabbed his schlong at an angle the ref couldn't see. In a game situation that probably wasn't on purpose, he was just lucky.

I really hate these are the teams in the SB. I can't stand either team.

Touchdowns never get called back for taunting. Any penalty would be enforced on the ensuing kickoff.

Even better, count the TD and make them take a 2 pt. conversion 15 yards back... either way, GB wins.

I saw on Twitter this morning that the Seahawks were lined up illegally for the on-side kick. They had too many people on one side (obviously the side that they kicked toward).

I still think the refs ****** up when Clay Matthews sacked Wilson in the 3rd quarter. They should have tacked on personal foul to the sack instead of forcing the Packers to choose between the two (and decline the penalty). That would have killed the drive where the Seahawks scored on the fake field goal.

Which is kind of meaningless since they moved the tee up and any kicker can't help but make it a touchback every time.

The TD came off the board because Curtis Brown was flagged for an illegal block on the return, not because of what Antonio did. If there was no illegal block, the TD would have counted but the Steelers would have been penalized on the kickoff.

Thanks for the refresher Ed & Steel G. My memory is not what it once was. I forgot about the block in the back being why the TD was nullified.

Not trying to argue with you- ]

but why are you so pissed that Seattle is in the bowl?

I've dislike Seattle since they bitched about the 05' SB. I remember them coming on the board and bitching about the refs calling the game for the Steelers. Even ESPN had idiots saying the Steelers stole the SB.

Because their fans are cunts and their players are ******* loudmouth pricks. I ******* despise everything about them. If ANY other team in the league is facing them in this game, I am rooting against them. Just not in this case.

The penalty would have been on the kickoff and not the extra point try. That would have backed them up 15 yards and made missing the onside kick more risky. It is what it is. They should be pissed they went run, run, pass, punt like Cowher used to do before we had Ben at QB.

In the NFL it is enforced on the kickoff...but it SHOULD be a spot foul. They made that change in high school and college. Makes sense too when you think about it...if taunting is illegal, and you do the taunting while still in the field of play, then that's where the penalty should be enforced. In the case of Lynch...I thought he did that once he crossed the goal line...

I had NO PROBLEM what so ever in rooting for the Packers over the SeaChickens. At least the Packers fans have some class.

There is a difference.

I can not STAND the thought of rooting for The SeaChickens, it nauseates me, perhaps a bit less than having the Deflatriots hoist another trophy. Doesn't that just suck? The lesser of two evils, neither one merits any kind of support. Yet one on the Right Coast is a colossal $hitfest of a team and it's Fans are like warm vomit. Come to think of it so is the one on the left coast. Can't win this one. Measurement of how worse the Deflates are than the SeaChickens is awful small - not quite microscopic but close.

After a great deal of anguish I now hope the SeaChickens embarrass the Deflates.

This is why I can't play professional football.

It's not merely the lack of talent or physical gifts. I'd simply have to follow Lynch into the endzone and cream him despite the fact that he'd given himself up as he'd already crossed the goal line and assumed the play was over. I'd go for his knees and destroy them.

Grab that *****.

What? Is there a rule about that? ****. Guess I'd better take Tom's advice and read up.

This is why I can't be in the NFL. Entirely too invested. An ******* like Lynch would get in my head really quickly. The only upside. I'd find a way to end his career before I was escorted down to the locker room. Oh, I'd find a way.

Remember, 'Stonio should've been flagged for playing LeBron after scoring against Arizona. Not called. Changes the way the last minute is played.

The difference with that though was he took so long to do the celebration. Most guys do their celebration right after scoring. Stonio sat there on the ground, out of bounds, for several moments, kind of like he was just absorbing what had happened. Then he got up, was congratulated by players and then did the celebration, I think he was still over on the sidelines even. That's why it wasn't flagged, none of the refs saw it. Everyone was moving on to the XP. But the Cards fans and Steeler haters acted like it was painfully obvious and that some giant crime against humanity occurred because it wasn't flagged.

Also, just to play devil's advocate, Warner took his helmet off in the field of play to argue with officials and also wasn't flagged.

Does that include Sushi???

Now that the Walrus is gone its a little better, but still they suck. The fan base especially!!!

The key is stonio wasnt on the field of play.

Are you saying "he was flying high?"
