Good writeup. Banner has the nice frame for the position and the extra weight lost shouldn't hurt his cause. I am hoping one of the two sieze the moment and run with it. I would like Ben to survive the season.

AV wouldn't be cut. He's a free agent. But I'm with you, I don't think he'll be resigned. Time to give contracts to the younger guys. Banner and Feiler may be had for good prices.

The problem with the cap next year is it's going to drop as low as $175M next year. Steelers are already over that amount at $189M for 40 contracts. Something big has to happen, like HUGE restructures, or cutting Ben and Tuitt, to sign anyone. Next year was made worse financially by covid for this team, and moving forward, we might not be able to sign anyone without huge financial moves.

Can't cut Ben unless he cannot play physically anymore. He is a 22 million dollar dead cap hit. All you can do is restructure a bunch of contracts for one year to post Roethlisberger life. Juju and Bud won't be back and Cam will be difficult.

I don't know SteelerSask, I too see Bud Dupree gone but not so sure about JuJu as of yet. I bet they don't cut him with out a HUGE fight to keep him contracturely (new word). I realize the cap hell coming but I also have faith in our front office to get things done that looked very bleak and unexpected.
