Is trading a low level pick and a bag of chips for him? The last RB we got from the Rams turned out ok. With Bell out for 4 games (hopefully less), A Williams/Stacy combo wouldn't be a bad way to go…but, then again, wasting a pick for 4 games..maybe they cut him, maybe I stepped in some dog excrement...

Zac Stacy the next Bettis? ...or just another whiny ***** back-up? sucks for him they drafted RB two years in a row after they got him...maybe they know something

and Bell is out for 3 games - they already announced it

He doesn't want to be a backup. Not going to happen

I think we'll get our RB in this draft. 4'th or 5'th round.

NO

PS HIGHLY unlikely he is the next BETIS....................

Salute the nation

We have our backs for the first three games of the season. They will ride DeAngelo and Harris. Maybe pick up a lower round RB or Undrafted back, but I can't see us trading for anyone noteworthy.

No.. dude wants to be a starter not back up Bell and Williams.

Eh, just kicking the tires on the thought. He may find that the only thing available this season is a back up role

Tre Mason passed him on the depth chart then Gurley. He could probably be had for a 6th or 7th. I think he would certainly be better than picking a back in the 4-5 range and likely better than what you could draft in the 6-7 range. It's worth a call. We did bring him in for a visit if memory serves correct.

Tre Mason is not an every down back. Stacy is good but not great. That's why i had the Rams taking Gurley in my mock. When you looked at their situation, he was the logical choice to best improve the offense. They now have Gurley as an every down playmaker and Tre Mason as a backup who can also make big plays.

I wouldn't be interested until after the draft because this draft is deep at RB. If the steelers don't draft a RB or it gets late and the good ones are gone, i'd be in favor of trading a late pick for Stacy.

He may not want to go to Pittsburgh though because he wants to play. He's probably OK with being a backup but not with being #3. STeelers could offer him the chance to beat out Deangelo Williams for #2 and of course, while Bell is suspended, Stacy would have an opportunity to play at least for a few weeks. That's likely better playing time than he'll get with the rams,
