So,our season is over. Life goes on. It will be talked about till next September. But being a football fan,who were the players that impressed you? Things that you didn't expect?

I will say.....Patrick friigging Mahomes. Looks like the real deal to me.

Chicago getting Mack. I knew he was good, but let's face it....he is great, could you imagine having him. The real deal.

The way Seattle's defense has bounced back so quickly. Look at their roster from 3 years ago. Pro Bowlers galore, their DB's all gone, someone is doing something right down there. I know a lot of you hate Pete Carrol but he is doing the job. On that note....Bobby Wagner, the real deal.

I hate to mention Dallas, but it's amazing how a certain Dutch sounding line backer has solidified their D. It's too bad he wasn't around when it was our pick. He is the real deal.

For some reason,my neck of the woods had a lot of panthers games telecast this year. I have to give a shout out to their running back Mccafertty( spelling ). Much better than I ever thought he was. The real deal.

I don't give two ***** on other teams so I will answer your question with Steelers answers.

Who were the players that impressed you?

Statistically AB just was impressive especially his TDs total. Big Ben had a special season not that he couldn't lower some of that INT percentage. But I read he had so many throws that the percentile was actually his fourth lowest of his career. Rookie wise, I will go with JaySam who I liked as a draft pick. That cheatriot performance made me take a pause and think that he will be a good complementary O weapon. He will need to improve his blocking. Hopefully JC helps him in this area as he made a impressive jump after being a soso blocker the year prior..

Things that you didn't expect? AB's extreme stance.

I was actually a "little" impressed with how well FOSTER did. He didn't seem to have the penalties as I Remeber him having. TJ WATT lit it up, Hargrave had a pretty good year. Can't forget the young'in JuJu.

As for coaching, Mike MUNCHack had a great year but Danny Smith didn't. Won't go any further as that has been hashed and rehashed and totally cooked so much it took the "E" out of BACON.

TJ and Hargrave provided the bEacon of hope for this defense. Shoot add in Mike Hilton at times.

Vance "stiff arm" McDonald, JuJu and Connuh all had productive seasons.
Really gives the Steelers fans something to look forward to in the future if the locker room attitude improves

O-*******-line. Haden, TJ, AB, JuJu.

All played brilliantly...and I really like J-Sam.

For me it was the overall performance of the OL. Amazed at what Munch has done with Big Al who keeps getting better. The play of Feiler and Finney when called upon. Pouncey and Decastro had good seasons.
Also liked the play of Vance McDonald providing Ben with another weapon.

Watt and ju ju are our future to build around

Also is Cam Heyward over rated?

I don't think so. I think he is solid, just not the superstar some envision. And I think the scheme they morphed into does the D-line no favors. Not to forget that secondary not being able to cover my grandmother at times, makes it hard on D-linemen as well. As a QB can usually find a open man fairly quickly.

True

Dallas gave up a first round pick for Amari Cooper and he got the Cowboys rolling. Don't tell me the Steelers can only get a 3rd round pick for AB....if they do, whoever does the trade negotiations for the Steelers needs to be canned.

What is funny is hearing the so called experts using ABs age against him. In this passing league that protects players they can get a good 3 to 4 years out of him. And in comparison Coop couldn't hold AB's jockstrap on the field. You either get a player and a 1st or a 1st and another pick, or they should keep him.Especially if he isn't paying back all or partial of that 21 mil.

AND if he stays,........you ***** slap the **** out of him and after a day or two of that you untie him and put him in a room with a 1-droplet of water per second (for noise) and you re-program him into being a decent LOVING team-mate....................

Then carry on to number 7

He’s gonna be back —- and it’s gonna be dysfunctional.

End of story.

Which is precisely why he should not be back.

They would risk throwing the season down the drain before it even starts.

Should or should not.... AR II thinks very much like a lawyer and doesn’t make much change
