Asking should there have been a penalty? **** off, NE runs plays like that for years. ******* Baltimore ran a play where one of their guys picked off a defender that was covering another wr vs us and nothing.

Eh, it was a pick play. We aren't the first team to get away with it, and won't be the last.

Reaching hard.

Comical.

It seems bengal fans are irate over that last play. The pick play is a staple of every NFL offense and it almost never gets called, especially when the contact is so close to the line of scrimmage.

Bengals fans should be more worried about Burfict being suspended for the season. Tomlin has to send that film of his hit and demand a suspension.

I'm not even sure it was even that, Hunter just ran into the guy covering him, to be an illegal pick, I think he has to go pick off another guy's defender, not sure though

Had they ran that same thing and it went down that way everybody here would have come unglued.

Disagree.

NFL teams run that play more frequently than QB sneaks any more, and I don't remember any member of SN protesting a pick 1.1 yards from the line of scrimmage.

Yep.

I cannot criticize the Bengals fans for being pissed about it.

It definitely could have been flagged, but OPI rarely is called.

Riveron said it was legal. Heck, even Rodney Harrison agreed with the call. Pointed out the defender initiated the contact and the officials determined it was within a yard of the LOS. Here's the thing, it's a penalty that NEVER gets called, so it's hard to get upset over. If it's a blatant hold or a guy getting tackled while running a route, that's one thing, but this is a play that could be run 100 times and draw zero flags.

Hunter is allowed to engage his defender up to a yard, and even beyond that once Brown became a runner. And an illegal pick would only apply if a defender who was directly covering Brown is interfered with. The defender was covering Hunter.

Never mind the facts !

No controversy at all. The NFL already issued a statement saying the play was legal.

VERY true but won't happen as CMVLT had his shades pulled down at the time...................... Reality is nothing is going to happen but I'd like to see a big fine / suspension. What a dirty intentional player he is.

Perhaps the Bengals shouldn't have gone cover zero and blitzed 6??

You guys here want to get pissed at coaching decisions, that is one of the dumbest coaching moves I've seen in situational football.

Boomer's reaction to AB's TD was priceless. To add salt, they also showed Phil Simms laughing at his misery. Hey Bungals. . . LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
