By: G.Stryker,*Twitter @SNStryker and Instagram @SNStryker SteelerNation.com   As the Pittsburgh Steelers are entering live tackling drills mid August, here is how I see the Steelers’ depth chart:   (Players in bold, are projected to make the roster) LWR (X) Diontae Johnson (+), Ray-Ray McCloud SWR (Y) JuJu Smith-Schuster (+),* Ryan Switzer (+),* RWR (Z) […]

I keep envisioning a boundary left balance formation Washington on the right, Claypool on the left. Motion DJ right into the slot beside Juju. Now you either have a defined one on one matchup with Claypool or you have Juju and DJ working in a ton of space on the field side. Drool.

I know fans don't want to view Ryan Switz Army Knife as a lock but I am leaning that general direction. I think he was the one WR who probably worked out with Ben the most in the off-season. I hate to draw lines in the sand but I just don't see them letting him go. I think his familiarity with BigBen as well as his ramped up workout regimen works in his favor.

I wonder how many 2-3 yard curls he will catch this year...

slash, you're probably right on this and it's well documented my thoughts on Switz. If he is the best player than I root all the way for him. I truely hope he makes it off ability / knowledge and NOT friend zone. If he retains his lowest YPC and makes 1st downs, I'm ok with that.

Oh and one last thing, when he goes up and battles for that "CONTESTED" catch, I'll be expecting that to make the high lite reels.

THANK. YOU to Cope for a great article and insight.

Switz is a probable lock. 3 guys 2 bones so to speak, but Switz has the advantage for all of the special teams he plays, and the fact that he is the only true slot receiver on the team. JuJu is as well, but JuJu is so diverse to be used in any of the positions or formations.

I'm really starting to lean toward McCloud since we don't have another X receiver on the team. We have too many Zs so keeping 3 of them just doesn't sit well with me. Cain has to show me some position flexibility to be comfortable keeping him.
