A team like Buffalo at #9 would likely take our #20 in 2019 and take our #1 next year to switch places. Would it be worth it, to fix the biggest hole in the defense?
Problem with using 2019 draft capital is we have other holes to plug. Draft well this year and extend Haden and you don't have any glaring holes to fill next year.
Steelers will also have more cap space next offseason to upgrade, making next years #1 not as vital. Also next years ILB group coming out of college looks to be
weaker than this year. If Devin White was there at #9, I would do it, Bush I'd hesitate, but likely pull the trigger.

slippery slope start trading future picks... can't remember last time steelers did that actually.... maybe better to trade this years pick stock up for next year get the qb from Clemson. but ya I really don't see anybody in this draft outside of maybe bush or white that will impact us to the point of being a catapult to greater things. whatever we do this year is going to have to be done by the vets. superbowls are won in march. the vets staying in step with the coaches the gm making adjustment to the roster,,, with as much bs going on around the org they seem to being doing what needs to be done good to see the vets report to the volunteer workouts oh wait what was the question again???

I think the Steelers are willing to either sit back and hope he’s there at 20 or trade a combination of our #20, a 3rd and maybe a 6 rounder or two to move up but that’s it. On the draft board it might not look like we have the ammo but if you look at the Troy trade we didn’t either. Colbert will try to find someone who wants back bad and he will stick to his guns. Personally if Buffalo don’t bite I think the panthers and falcons who are in need of cheaper roster spots could be targeted.

No. Possibly a No. 2 or 3 and other picks but not a No. 1. Still too many needs.

The cost to move to #9 this year is our #20, #53 & #83. I'd much rather have our 2nd and 3rd this year than our #1 next year.
Ben mostly has 3 years left, believe you should put your best team on field in 2019, rather than 2020. Baseball seems to be
a whole other ball game, many teams sell out their future at the trade deadline, just to increase the chances of winning now.

For Bosa?

No way. Wouldnt even consider it.

I think both Devin's will be gone when we draft. A few mocks also have Greedy gone before us and everyone else under the sun we really want which leaves us with Fant.

I'm not sold on Devin Bush taking him where we are. Dude is short for the position. He very likely falls within two picks either way of us. Not a chance I give up next years first. Trust me there will be another Devin Bush next year. There always is.

That's what they thought last year as well. And look how miserable we were in the middle of the field. Not saying we should give away a 1st round pick but Bush is very good and even at 6 foot is worth moving into the teens for. Plus, as I have said before, we really need 2 ILB's as Vinnie will only last 2 years at max and is not a 3 down ILB as it is. Just my opinion.

I was high on Vander Esche last year. But again the move up price would have been way too high. Keep stacking talent up. If it was one of our threes and a later pick to move up a couple spots to get Devin Bush, great. If it's a first next year or a second this year,
No thanks. Too many good players. And if **** goes bad without AB, and say Ben gets hurt. You could be talking about a top 5 pick next year. No ****** way.

Not a chance. I'd only give up a future first for an elite-level premium position player (QB, LT, CB, or pass rusher).

If Devin White is still there at 9, I would not be mad if they pulled the trigger. White looks like a sure thing. Bush? Nah, let’s see if he falls to us. If not, take whoever is left between Greedy, Murphy & Baker.

I'd be putting feelers out but with the dead cap money we really need to make sure we stick to our spots as best as possible. If we can move up one or two spots to make sure another team doesn't jump us for our guy, that's when you make a move.
