Very likely. Ben is good, but he makes mistakes, throwing INT's and missing receivers that the elite QB's don't make as frequently.

It wouldn't matter what QB was in place on team incapable of adjustments.

YOU are forgetting ONE very important factor................................WE still have the same coach.

Nope. Cause Tomlin is incapable of managing a team. He's GOT a H.O.F. QB and like the Dolphins, he and the F.O. have been comfortable sitting back and assuming Ben and the "Worlds Greatest Offense" will just deliver wins like candy off a parade float. And that strategy HAS maintained non-losing seasons throughout Tomlin's tenure.

But the moment the H.O.F. QB leaves the building, the Steelers MIGHT be a 6-10 team. IF other teams implode a few times like the Steelers tend to do.

As for Belichik, why would you sell your soul for a known cheater? I'd rather lose fair than win cheating. No question about it.

Would Steelers Be Undefeated With Mahommes, Brees, or Goff?

Would they be covering tight ends? If so, maybe.
Would they be making tackles on defense? If so, maybe.
Would they be making coaching adjustments? If so, maybe.

This team is a ******* mess. We are like watching a schizophrenic roller coaster. The defense shows you just enough to give you hope, then they can't tackle for ****, or cover for ****, and they get gashed when it matters the most. Our coaching, too much to say, it sucks. No discipline, no accountability, no adjustments, no clock management, no changes. And our ball security sucks, and we can't take the ball away.

So if Mahommes, Brees, or Goff can fix these things, then sure.

Guys.. we are 4th in the league in total offense and 4th in the league in scoring. As bad as Ben’s mistakes can be, the offense is giving this team plenty of chances to win games.

And Ben sits number one in passing yards.

Did you see Brees miss an 8 yard pass on their final drive at Dallas Thursday? Did you see Brady over throw Gronk yesterday? Rodgers missed Adams last week when he was by the DB.
Give me the Rams D and their HC/OC with Ben, or give me Peyton with Ben and that defense and let's see what our record would be.

Stupidest thread yet

The defense is weak and pathetic and U want to whine about QBs!

Fire Butler and the whole defensive staff and find a GM that knows how to draft defense because the Steelers have no clue.

Fire Colbert? maybe so but i find it hard to believe he no longer has the ability to draft good D. The common denominator here is the coach. The whole coaching staff other than Munch is a pathetic. The Rooneys should be ashamed but they created this mess

I like Fitch he is solid, and the O has improved under him in red zone scoring.

The one common denominator as you guys have pointed out is Tomlin. Does not matter how many times we change out coordinators Tomlin remains at the top of this shitstorm.

Also, just heard that Cool Shades is 0 for 9 in his last 9 challenges. Yikes!

TOMLIN needs to go for sure.............I thought maybe he was turning it around a little but these last few games show otherwise. NOW back to when they promoted Butler I was VERY disappointed as I wanted a complete different, out of our system, DC brought in. Dick L.'s system is out dated and very very conquered in football sense. Until something drastic happens or BEN retires........ there will be no change where change needs to be. If the DC is replaced will OWNERSHIP tell CMVLT to keep his hands off???? That is why you need BOTH to go and new young, times are changing, blood brought in. The NFL is no longer a game but a trend and we need young coaching talent to trend in the right direction.

Ironically, while Cowher could build a strong defense, he just wasn't interested in a potent offense. He preferred grinders. The Bus was the best thing that ever happened to Cowher.

Tomlin can't put together a defense to save his soul. He has systematically orchestrated the softest pass defense in the league. He's in charge of the "bend but don't stop" defense. Without Roethlisberger and Brown, this team wouldn't HAVE a winning season.

Just watched the highlights on NFL.com. It's sickening watching those calls not being made. Painful. I just can't comprehend how they caught the Steelers doing something on every single return play, but they missed a huge push in the back as the 2nd defender bore down on the returner. How do they miss that? The guy was shoved right to the ground from the back.

Not a chance. It's one thing to be in the game thread, or right after a game and talk about a missed play by a player, but this is nonsense.

Ben is #1 in passing yards and 19th among QB's in QB rating. Yards don't win you games. Derick Carr is 18th at 95.2, Ben 19th at 95.1 and Marriota 20th at 95.0.
Ben also has one of the top offensive lines in football and two elite WR's.

we are 4th in the league in total offense and 4th in the league in scoring...more important as QBR

Ben is good for one or two bonehead plays a game. That's a given with him and you take the bad with all the good he does. He wasn't on ST or defense last night. 30 points at home should get you a W. Maybe the other QBs mentioned gets them another win or two, but this team has a lot of shortcomings that are hard to overcome, at times.

And he has absolutely no defense whatsoever backing him up. He HAS To score 42 points a game for the Steelers to be competitive. I suspect he does press a bit because he knows if he doesn't put up 35 to 42 it's an automatic loss.

Tomlin and Butler have built the worst passing defense in football. It's the "Bend but don't Stop" defense.
