And I've seen em all. You can say what you want about Chargers 94 or Broncos with Tebow. This took the cake hands down. Those other games were at least playoff caliber teams. Whether they had a qb or not they had defenses and running backs. The Ravens have nothing. Most humiliating defeat I can imagine. Tough lesson Mike. No you are the tough lesson.

Yep. It stings like an AFC championship loss favoured by 10+.

What also is tough is that we could (arguably) be the best team in football. If they happened to pull off a win yesterday with Seattle, Carolina, NE all losing, is there a team we would be underdogs against? Maybe Arizona who we beat with Landry. Fine line.

Yep, the others being playoff caliber teams is the key.

But then again this game was a regular season game, not technically a playoff game.

there is no argument here...the best team in football ? C'mon the best team in football doesn't lose to the Ravens in that spot..never ever..

Have to agree... With playoffs on the line could not have imagined Ben stinking it up like that. under Tomlin we have a horrible habit of playing down to crappy teams. year after year we have been missing the plays off because we lose to the raiders of the nfl. Tomlin is getting into 1980's Noll territory. No playoff wins since 2010 super bowl lose. And Noll didn't have a 100 million dollar qb.

It sucked, but I don't care as much any more. I have more things going on in my life now that I'm older, like heavy, habitual drinking, and for that I'm thankful.

Nah, not the worst loss. How about losing to a 3 - 9 Texan team in 2002 with three scores on turnovers. Texans were a first year team that completed only three passes and had only three first downs and were outgained 422-47, the fewest yards ever by a winning team in NFL history.

Yea that was bad.

Gotta blame some of it on the Flex change in game time. Even the league deemed it a non-competition game and it was replaced in the Prime Time schedule with another game. The team ended up with that impression thanks to the Network Venue change.

Had it been played as it had been scheduled on Sunday Night Football there likely would have been a different out come.

We got screwed and NBC got gifted with a terribly lopsided game with mop-up QBs on both sides playing it out on National TV.

I still have to put the '94 AFCC game above yesterday. Yesterday only gave you a chance at the playoffs. '94 you got a chance at the Super Bowl. '97. '01 and '04 are still above this game.

I am an older guy. I'm still pissed that they couldn't make it 3 in a row in '76 against the Raiders.

But yesterday was awful. I was just stating at one point last week to my wife how isn't she glad I have finally matured a d don't get as pissed off as I used to. All that hooey went out the window yesterday. I'm still pissed off.

I would have to say this might be the 4th worst loss ever for me...

Cant believe more of you guys don't rate the 2 Super Bowl losses at the top of your lists!?..

Top 2 for me are our two Super Bowl loses...number 3 the 94 championship game and this loss is slightly above the loss in OT to Tebow..

As bad as the loss to the Chargers in '94 was, if you are being honest with yourself you have to think that more than likely that team would have gotten beat by that 49'ers team. Not saying it's a good thing we lost.... just saying that in all probability we wouldn't have been hoisting a Lombardi that year anyway.... but you never know.

Gotta agree with this guy... Nothing worse than losing a Super Bowl... especially the one against the Cowboys.

I disagree. I think our defense would've matched up well with them. San Diego had no business being in that game and the 49ers showed them.

Lebeau created the zone blitz scheme specifically for the West Coast offense we matched up very well.

None of those games compare. Not even close. Games between playoff teams have upsets all the time. This is a team that just beat two division leaders and played Seattle right to the end. They lost to a team who beat three other opponents and was missing a third of their starters. Beyond unacceptable.

And the 94 loss was the worst loss ever for me. Nothing is close..after suffering thru the 80s. The 94 team was the first team I ever felt like they had a great chance to win it all. That we were legitimately in the discussion for best team in football. The 04 and 01 losses are next followed by the Packers Superbowl.

That 94 SD team was better than anyone here cares to give them credit for, just because Vegas made us 10 point favorites doesn't mean we were that much better than them. They had a tougher schedule, tougher division, and finished with the same record as us.

Worst regular season loss, last years Tampa game was pretty tough.

There's a difference between a loss being heartbreaking and a loss just being a bad loss

Of course the excruciating playoff defeats stick with you forever, but at least they were losses to winning teams with something to play for.

This team was beginning to look like a super bowl team but instead blew their chance at the playoffs by laying an egg against a team with 18 starters on IR (including damn near anyone worth mentioning) and a 4th string QB who has been cut multiple times for lacking professionalism.

This is the worst loss I've ever seen, and probably the worst loss any team has suffered this decade. When considering what was on the line and the difference in talent levels of the two teams, definitely the worst loss I can think of

I put the Cowboys loss at the top, followed by the AFCC loss to the Chargers next. Yesterday's loss still pisses me off but it will pass. Personally I did not think that the Steelers were all that great. They seemed to be getting better as the year progressed but I had no aspirations of this being a great year reminiscent of their SB run in Bettis' last year. Face it if we played the Broncos with a healthy Manning, they would not only have eaten our lunch but they would have also stolen our women. :)

It's not fair to compare a regular season loss to a SB or PO loss. As far as the Tomlin era, it's the worst considering BAL cluster of a season, the PO and the potential this offense has.

No way they should have lost yesterday with Mallet at QB and 19 starters out. No freakin' way!

There is no healthy Manning. The Patriots look as vulnerable as they have ever looked. The Steelers aren't a dominant team by any stretch of the imagination buy before yesterday's **** up they looked final four material to me.

It was high on the list for a regular season loss.

Rooney's this team under-performed.

The first Ravens game this season was pretty damn bad, they sure as **** should have won. I guess I was kinda shocked that they didn't try and come back and kick the Ravens *** just for retribution for that game. Instead they allow the Ravens to sweep them and keep them out of the playoffs. WTF.

2009 was full of stinkeroos that I'd like to forget. Coming off '08 with a shiny new Lombardi for the trophy case, we lost to some of the worst teams in the league that year: KC, Oakland, and to a Brady Quinn-led Cleveland team in the sub-zero wind chill game that got Ben sacked like 8 times. That game was the capper to a 9-7 year and no playoffs.
