By: Jonathan Clark SteelerNation.com   After 13-year NFL veteran and lifelong Steeler Ramon Foster retired at the end of the 2019 season, it left the upcoming Pittsburgh Steelers team with a whole to fill on the left side of their offensive line for the 2020 season. A hole that could have been filled in many […]

I know some of you are high on the Dotson kid. The only way Wisniewski doesn't start is if they can't keep Chuks off the field and they choose to move Feiler inside. And for exactly the reason Wisniewski said. No chance Dotson can be ready for all the subtle calls, adjustments, blitz hand offs. Not in this environment. No way.

should be a good battle chukes vs Fielier, and wis vs Dotson yes Dotson was div 3 draftee,

I think out of the gates it will be Steven at G over moving Feiler for Chukes. It is a known VS an unknown. So unless Chukes does something he failed to do last year that is how I see it playing out initially. .

I think a red shirt year never hurts an Oline player. Its a very difficult position mentally where a mistake can have dire consequences for your QB. However, game like simulation can happen more than any other position in practice for the mental aspect. Okorafor, however needs to be making a step. Whether he can beat out Feiler or not he has to be ready to seamlessly step on the field. If he cannot, he is probably not starting material.

I was one who was HIGH on him but also realize with the NO OTAs / possibly shortened TC & Season Dotson definately will need another off-season. That doesn't mean he can't still be good for depth or possible start later in season if need.

I'm all for Wisn. Playing good and he is VERY capable of starting as he has proven he is NFL starter capable.

I see this as a GREAT problem to have, he will prove to be a good acquisition in our bid for the 7th.
