Traded to the Giants for a late round pick.

Congrats to our new punter, Berry.

Well, I think that was a good move.

Good move, Berry was the better punter.

Wow, didn't think we'd be able to get a draft pick out of the punter we were going to cut today but we'll take it.

Makes the Scobee trade feel a lot better. Hopefully Scobee will leave after the season and we'll get a 2017 comp pick...

Already active Colbert. Good job!
I like this new kid Berry a lot. Wing will do fine in NY.

shouldnt we be laughing at the Giants for trading for a guy who was about to be cut, as that is the modus operandi around here when we trade for a guy?

Yes. Yes we should. And I am.

Dumb *** Tombert.

Seemed like Wing got beat out any way. Hopefully, that is the case.

Steelers trade Wing to the Giants

buh-bye wing dinger

so we got out kicker draft pick back afterall, woo-hoo!

Great move by Tomlin and Colbert to get a 6th round pick for a player that easily could have been in the cuts to 75 players.

I liked Brad Wing, good character kid - he'll be in the league for a while, IMO. I think Berry was the better decision to keep though.

Good job, Mr. Colbert.

It was the same situation with us and Scobee, actually.

They were in desperate need of a punter and there are only a handful of experienced that could get cut (at most). Rather than risk waiver wire roulette, they just used a a rather meaningless pick for a 'proven' commodity.

A rare win-win. We keep the better player and get a draft pick for a guy we were going to cut.

Good job, Mr. Colbert.

Wing had past character issues. I agree Berry is a bit better.

bye Wing, thanks for your services

Flying away on a wing and a prayer, who could it be?

Good pickup for the Giants, good move by the Steelers to get the draft pick back.

And with that move, the Steelers save a whopping $75k in salary!

Giants board:

http://boards.giants.com/showthread....-s-Replacement

Wing 38.8 net...Weatherford 38.6 net lol

Wing only 43.7 average net last year. 20 of 61 kicks inside the 20, only 4 touchbacks all year

A lot of Giants fans around here where I live have that same shortsighted "this is today, what have you done for me yesterday, mindset" when it comes to players. Never mind that Wing had a solid summer this year with much improved stats.

I am pleased. the Steelers NEVER used to do this... they would give the guy a free pass to choose where he wanted to go. Its about time they start getting assets for assets
