Will Pouncey return after the Bye?

You don't read anything or hear much on Pouncey so I'm inclined to believe his 2015 season which never got started is in the books already. In other words we won't see him until 2016.

I don't know why we seem to always come to these conclusions that a guy coming off injury is just a disaster waiting to happen. When, historically, has that been the case? I would hope that if a guy is still hurt and not able to do his job, the staff would be perceptive enough to see that and smart enough not to play him.

These guys aren't china dolls, as much as we like to call them that when they get hurt a lot. If a player says he can go, the docs say he's healthy, and the coaches see him performing as expected, then he needs to be on the damn field. That's why they get paid. Living in our fears is what loses games, not playing a guy who has recovered from an injury and is now healthy.

I said the same thing all week about Ben when it looked like he would recover quickly from the foot sprain. If all signs indicated that he's healthy enough to play, then god dammit go out there and light up the Stains. That's what you're here for. Making him inactive as a precautionary measure is simply playing scared and could have cost us a game (although I doubt it seeing how bad the Stains pass D was yesterday). And I was right. Ben was healthy, even absorbed some hits and moved around in the pocket, and played like Ben. These aren't gigantic walking vaginas out there.
Amen.
Look no further than Antwon Blake.
I disagree - while Blake is not Deion Sanders, Richard Sherman, Darrelle (sp) Revis, etal - he is, IMO, a very serviceable DB in this system. Is he undersized? Yes. Does he get beat on every ball thrown his way? Absolutely not.
I trust them more than I do any poster. And while you may rap Blake in his first year as a starter Keep in mind the Browns have a high #1 cb who didn't even dress and we would have probably killed to draft.
I'll continue here.

You're 100% percent correct - Blake is a FIRST YEAR starter - our judges and jury, here, fail to remember that...

As far as why Boykin hasn't seen the field - I kinda remember something about us not wanting to pay the Eagles' any extra incentives if he was on the field for more than the agreed trade percentage (without penalty). Correct???

Maybe he's wearing the boot as protection? I remember breaking my ankle 4 years ago - I wore my boot for nearly six month if I was out and about - just didn't want any setbacks later down the road. I'm not saying that this is correct; but, that was my personal experience...

Get well fast, Maurkice!!!

The thing is some here think he can show up and be in football shape out of the gate. That rarely ever happens. It would take him several or more games to get into football shape. Do we want him in that kind of condition, his first or second game back with two games to go and a playoff birth on the line????? Wallace would be my choice under those conditions. Now if Cody were to wear a "free henandez" hat, I may reconsider..........

Salute the nation

I don't think he will be back this year.

Pouncey out of the walking boot..it'll be interesting to see what they decide to do with him.

He was in the walking boot for the exact amount of time it takes for the soft tissue to completely heal. Now he can begin strentgh training and rehab.
