Per Ian Rappaport we are talking to him, plus Pats, Texans, Browns. We could sign him, cut Cam Thomas, and have Steve play the Hoke role.

My guess is that "we are talking with the Steelers" actually means that Vince's agent called the switchboard at the South Side and asked to speak to someone... ANYONE!

I'd take him if the price is right but I don't think he has much left in the tank.
 
I disagree with everyone. Let Steve play the old Hoke role which is a DE/pass down NT.

We have zero DE depth right now...f'n zero. Cam Thomas doesn't count. We can sign Wilfork to play NT, McCullers learns behind him. McClendon plays the old Hoke role. Cam Thomas gets cut. Wilfork would prob play for the same price as Cam Thomas.

if his cost is the same as Thomas...I'm pretty damn sure the Cheats would match that...and I bet he would sign with them ..
 
He is actually pissed that they released him. I bet he will sign somewhere else than there.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports free agent Vince Wilfork hasn't ruled out re-signing with the Patriots.
Yahoo's Charles Robinson has reported the same. Wilfork has also been connected to the Texans, where coach Bill O'Brien is harvesting former Patriots. If Wilfork can swallow his pride, returning to the Pats on a reduced deal is his best option if he wants a serious shot at another Super Bowl ring.

I would not doubt in the least if he ends up with the Texans...you are the one who said he would play for Cam Thomas money...I merely said if it was Cam Thomas money the Cheats would pay that and he would go there...
 
We will see. No one will pay him a lot. I still like the idea of bringing him here while McCullers learns and develops.
 
Or he will sign get guaranteed money and go back to the pats for vet minimum, sound familiar.
